As Zen reached the huge structure which was the Wizard's Tower,Zen noticed a peculiar sight.The highest floor was surrounded by a red mist.Zen opened the door and entered the Tower's Ground Floor to reveal a shocking sight.
The tables and chairs were broken,books lying everywhere on the floor,tattered and torn,and wizard robes lying everywhere.Zen scanned the room to check if there were any bodies.There weren't any.Zen climbed the stairs and scanned other floors.They all were in the same state as the ground floor and there were no dead bodies either.
Zen finally reached the top floor.The floor looked normal yet there were a group of Wizards creating a forcefield around something.Zen walked upto a Wizard who was wielding a staff and wore blue robes.
"Good day sir,can you please tell me what is going on?"asked Zen.The Wizard grunted and spoke,"A Black Demon has appeared in the tower and we are containing it here!The black demon is probably the most powerful monster in Misthalin at the moment."
"A Black Demon!"exclaimed Zen in his thoughts.Zen had heard of Black Demons terrorise far away lands but he never knew it would ever come in Misthalin.Just then, Zen had an idea and turned to the Wizard.
"Can I kill the Black Demon for you all?"asked Zen.
The Wizard gasped and almost stopped helping the others Wizards.
"Are you sure lad?It is quite powerful.Well alright,we Wizard's will teleport it outside the Tower's bridge.Go there and slay it.I shall give you a reward too."said the Wizard as he and the Wizard's decided to teleport the Demon.
Zen tried to look at the Demon but he could not due to the large mass of Wizards attmpting to teleport it.Just then,the Wizards teleported the Demon and Zen raced down the stairs and ran out of the tower to confront the demon.

The Demon was on the other side of the bridge.It was smashing trees and rocks and roaring to the heavens.Zen could see the demon.It was huge and tall,perhaps 30 feet tall.It was jet-black with white horns and claws.It's eyes were blazing red and it's wings were bony but large.The demon's tail was lengthy and had a white tip at the end.The demon noticed Zen and began to walk towards him.
Zen did not hesitate to attack.He threw his adamant dagger at the Demon's left eye.Blue blood began to seep from the Demon's eye as the demon roared.As it roared,Zen quickly ran upto the Demon and started to hack at it's knees with his Adamant Longsword.More blood poured from the Demon.The Demon roared again and kicked Zen,sending him crashing into an Oak Tree.
Zen hurt his back and his shield arm.He took out another Adamant Dagger and threw it at the Demon with poor accuracy.The Dagger hit it's torso.Zen began to get unconscious.The Demon began to stomp towards Zen as he fainted.

Prologue of Chapter 9:
Zen woke up in a dimly lit room.He was lying on a bed and was covered with several bandages.Zen climbed out of his bed and looked outside a window.It was night time.Whoever his Saviour was, he had treated Zen well.Just then the door opened and Nate came in.
Zen tried to reach for his armour and weapons but they were on a rack near the door.Having no weapons,Zen shouted,"Nate!What do you want from me?"
"Relax.I saved your skin back there near the Wizard's Tower.I had heard a Black Demon had escaped so I ventured there.We are now in my house right outside Varrock."said Nate in a calm and composed voice.Seeing the worried look on Zen's face,he added:"I have killed the demon you do not have to worry about that."
"B-but why did you save me?"asked Zen.
"That is a large tale.However,I asked a druid to write it down in a few pieces of papyrus."said Nate as he handed Zen a few pieces of Papyrus.Zen began to read the papyrus.The story was titled "Nate Enlightened".
