Chapter 15: The Wildy
15 minutes later, the participants of the contest were standing near the Wilderness Wall, the wall which separates the mainland from the Wilderness. The participants were standing at the northern end of Varrock along with King Roald. Zen was equipped with his standard Adamant Armour but he didn't carry his Kiteshield. He bought a few Adamant Daggers and some runes to cast Fire Bolts.
In his rucksack, Zen carried 4 doses of a Strength Potion and a few Tunas. The Wilderness was a land of outlaws and undead, but it was also a place where many people kill each other. It was by no means a safe place.
Zen looked at the other people, who looked as skilled as Zen. The man with the Adamant 2 Handed Sword, who was called Lazaar laughed.
"Remember weaklings, do not stand in my way or you will feel both my fist and my sword!"
Zen heeded his words. A few minutes before the participants stood near the Wall, Zen saw a Black Knight attack Lazaar. Lazaar had quickly turned around and smashed the Black Knight with his brutal sword and killed him with one hit.
There was also another Mage who was highly skilled in Magic and he was capable of casting the spell known as Ice Barrage. The spell trapped the opponent in a huge block of ice and froze them for 40 seconds.
King Roald addressed the crowd.
"Well adventurers, the first diamond is here. You must get it in the next 6 hours. I will say that it has quite a strong guardian. Good luck!"
King Roald walked away leaving the adventurers to make their first few steps into the Wilderness.
