Eleria was right, speaking to the two gods would be like walking a field crippled with land mines- one wrong word and the situation would escalate beyond what the two could manage on their own. Visiting other gods' realms uninvited was not common practice amongst the gods, the two showing up would raise suspicion, but the task was too great to delay. He stood up, extending his left hand to Eleria, he muttered,
"See you on the other side"
.

The entrance to the great realm of the Egyptians gods was guarded by two great status of crocodile guardians, standing as tall as the skyscrapers populating the town their meeting had taken place in. Between them, stood colossal gate, impenetrable by gods. It served as mean to keep unwanted visitors out. The gate was crafted with sand like material, and was ornament with hieroglyphs describing the greatness and glorious deeds of the gods residing within. The first task of the two gods would be to convince the realm's owners to let them in.

Gods were always aware of other gods presence within their own worlds, Isis and Osiris were sure to be looking down on them by now. This was not the first time that the two pairs had met, but this time, the twins lacked knowledge of the reason behind the abrupt visit. The key to being let in, would be to tease their curiosity, to lure them into a thirst for answers.

Aequitas turned to Eleria, "
Would you do the honors?
"

((I apologize, but I have to admit that I really can't get the inspiration to post anything on here and therefore have to step out. It's been like that for a while, and I don't want to write something that I feel is bad because it won't be enjoyable at all. I'm really sorry everyone...)) Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

((That’s fine Inferi :) It’s not worth being here if you aren’t having fun. If you ever feel re-inspired and want to come back, let me know

Hopefully we’ll garner a few new players before too long, until then, I’ll go ahead and try to introduce a couple of new characters soon to fill space, and the rest of us can go on if there's still an interest.))

“We are right where we need to be,* Elatha explained. He waved towards the distance where a vibrating dark blur was beginning to overwhelm the horizon.

“That shadow coming from the west,” Elatha explained to the young god beside him. “Is an army of Sluagh- malicious soul eating spirits.*
As the flock drew closer, it could be seen that they were flying creatures, humanoid in shape but with pitch-black bodies and no faces. Though they flew through the air, they had no wings, only unnaturally long limbs that moved them through the air as if they were swimming through water.

“East of here, there is a settlement,” Elatha went on. “If the Slaugh reach it, the souls of the people there stand no chance. They will be added to the Slaugh, and the army will move on to the next town. In their way, stands my chosen- Scathach.”
He gestured eastward, where a horse was dashing across the ocean of green. Astride the animal, rode a woman with a flash of bright red hair. Her face was lightly freckled and her eyes were as piercing a shade of green as the landscape around her. She wore light armor, and a black mantle. A heavy spear was strapped to her back, and more weapons were loaded on her horse.

“The chosen champions of our kind must be tested,” Elatha told Sol. “It is the way. Here, Scatha** will prove that she is strong and brave by fighting this unholy horde of monsters. She will show that she is compassionate by protecting the people beyond this field. I have chosen this time and place, because it is a good test for her,” he explained. “But some gods choose to create tests for themselves. Diana sent the Calydonian Boar in part to test the warrior, Atalanta. Now* watch, and see why I have chosen Scatha** the Shadow.”

As the Warrior Maiden came close to the flock of the Slaugh, she took the spear from her back and twirled it in one hand, grasping the reins of her horse with the other. She urged the creature forward, spinning the spear across her shoulders as she glided. The horse jumped, her spear twirled, and Scatha** tore into the flock of demons.

The dark creatures began to scatter, and Scatha** called for her horse to stop. She took out the demons clsoest to her first, cutting them from the air with her spear. She swatted them to the ground where they become dust and old bones- evaporating with their contact to the ground.
When there were no more within range of the spear, she threw it. It glided through three of the creatures, vaporizing them in turn, before it landed in the ground.
She had already drawn a bow from her horse and produced an arrow from the quiver beside her. With lightning speed, she picked off the members of the dark flock that had made it past her.

Now, the demons had turned to her—no longer trying to fly past her towards the settlement that was east of this place. She replaced her bow with a sword, twirled the blade loosely in her hand. It danced through the air like lighting, striking down the evil spirits in no time at all. The army, which had initially looked like many dozens, had quickly become a small handful. What few remained of the Slaugh had turned to fly back to the west.

Scatha** slid the sword back into its sheathe and raised her bow again. It her little time to pick off the fleeing demons with arrows, and soon Scathach had won.
The field was empty now apart from a pale dust that now stained the green, and a few dozen arrows.
The Warrior Maid turned her horse, catching sight of the two gods as she went to reclaim her spear.

“Impressive, no?* Elatha asked. “She sees us now,” he threw back his robes and the clouds behind them parted, filling the sky with an unusually large moon. “Let us speak with her,” he said as he strode towards her.

~

“You are Aequitas,” said a voice near the god. “I am Nemetona.”
She was very tall with jet black hair that fell around her like a cloak. Her cheeks and nose were lightly freckled. Her face was long and her cheekbones eyes, and she wore a wooden circlet that had been carved in intricate knots. Under the veil of her own hair that draped over body, she wore a scant dress made of animal hide, with a long drap of fabric in the front and back.

She needed few words because Aequitas would Know, upon seeing her, that she was a small goddess of an old Celtic people. She had slight affiliations with warfare, perhaps from a relation to the Morrigan, or maybe even Mars.
She wasn’t even sure herself…
But her origins made one thing clear. Elatha had called for her.

“You are entering a dangerous place,” she said. “He thought you would want company.*

Without saying anything else, she faced the doorway of the twin gods’ realm and asked for it to open.

Unlike Bast’s realm, which the gods had been invited to step into, the realm of Isis and Osiris pulled Aequitas and Nemetona into it almost by force. It swept around them-- invaded their surroundings.

The ground was glittering golden sand that rose into towering monumental dunes beneath an amber sky. An uncomfortably warm wind whipped the sand, spun it, swirled it into an ever changing labyrinth of dunes. At times, the sand would be swept so violently that the intricately carved metal ground beneath it became visible- a surreal landscape of mechanical bronze and gold. Billowing clouds folded and unfolded as they raced across the sky. Occasionally, a flicker of red lightning would dance overhead, running across the surface of the sky rather than down to the ground.

There was no architecture- no sign of design save for the strange metal plane beneath the changing sand dunes.

Long has it been since one has seen you

Isis and Osiris spoke as one god, disembodied, in a voice that was felt rather than heard.

Some sand drained from the nearby dunes into empty spaces between the mechanical plane beneath, and mechanisms turned silently and left gaps between their pieces.

One had almost forgotten you,
the twins told Maat, before more sand swept over the machinery and covered it with a mountain of dust.
State your business here.

((Sorry for the delay, been busy with work! I'll try to post tomorrow! Sorry to see you go Inferi! :( )) Nemetona

"Hello, my Queen. Indeed, many years have passed since our eyes last met. Please, do not stay hidden amongst your powerful sand. Come forth, and speak with us as equal." Though the twins spoke as one, he could feel the Queen's vocals above her brothers. Soothing yet dreadful, it was unlike the voice of many other gods. Her brother was the most worshipped and honored of the two, but Aequitas knew who the real puppet master was. A goddess even amidst goddesses, cunning deceit shrouded her true potential. "And you, my king, why do you hide your face from me? Have I done you wrong?"

The two gods were bound to manifest themselves now. Though stubborn, they would not reject an old friend's inquiries. Things were about to get serious. Eleria had departed, but it was not unlike her, the lost of her memory truly had her searching for answers. Her sudden departure revealed the calling of her true quest, beckoning her. She had to go, and Aequitas knew it. Nemetona had taken her place, and he was glad. Though not as powerful a god as Eler*a, Nemetona was fierce and had a warrior's heart. She would prove his better if matters started turning sour. Her personality balancing his. Keeping him in tract, not swaying from the quest at hand. Her fiery spirit, and true devotion to her craft could prove powerful tools.

The god carefully parted his cloak, leading hand deep within. The hand resurfacing moments later, held within its grasp was a pearl white feather. Gently combing it, his gaze was locked on the wave-like motion of the vane under his fingers. "My lieges, I pray time has not led you to forget my craft. I am here to weigh this feather, and I could only hope you were to aid me." Aequitas did not need to explain to his partner the purpose of the feather. She would immediately know, that it was his tool to weigh the souls of the dead.

NAME(S): Blaten and Wrike, but also referred to as Adrian.

GENDER(S): No specified gender, the appearance Adrian is given varies on the person who views him. Courage and fear have no faces, and anybody can be courageous or fearful. Adrian matches the gender of those he assist. Inside Adrian’s realm, he is a man.
AGE: Old god

AFFILIATION(S)/PURPOSE(S): Adrian exists as a helper to fear or courage. When courage is exhibited, he helps the human with physical strength, and rejuvenation, making it possible for someone to achieve something though impossible. When someone gives in to fear, Adrian is there to assist the fear, weakening the body, and making things appear impossible.

FORM(S): Adrian has a form that flows between complete courage, and complete fear. The courageous form is well built, with shoulder length black hair. The face is faded as if in a fog, and only the deep yellow eyes are clear. The yellow eyes represent fear, and that there is a little bit of fear in all humans. The courageous form has clean, elegant clothes fit for a powerful warrior. The fear form is sickly and frail, with deep red eyes, signifying the possibility for courage in the midst of fear. The clothes looked elegant once, but are now torn and darkened.
In his realm, Adrian is seen with a hooded cape, and simple long sleeves shirt, and pants. All his clothes are grey.

REALM: Adrian lives in a simple realm, with one hill. On top of the hill sits a simple log cabin. The realm follows a 24-hour day, and the weather is divers. An ocean of small metallic balls, no bigger than a millimeter, surrounds the hill. They behave as an ocean would. The cabin is simple; it contains a bedroom, a study room, and a living room.
