((Ambriel was the last of three gods to die- suspected to be murdered. In his last moments, he sent a handful of pine needles from his realm to Bastet- a goddess of protection.
Bastet willed the pine needles to other gods to summon a congregation that she hoped would be able to solve the string of murders. Ambriel’s pine needles chose rather minor gods with little influence, and these gods met in Bastet’s world where they developed two primary courses of action:

1. Seek out human envoys. Gods can only truly KILL one another by destroying their sources of worship which means working through humans. Thusly, having human allies is important.
2. Confront the Fates and ask for leads.

In the midst of the meeting with Bastet, the world eater- Apep appeared. Bastet’s world fell apart and she was destroyed in the process.
It should be noted that this is not the same as dying. A god dies when there is no longer anyone believing in them. But a god is destroyed when their form and world are demolished. They become incredibly weak and incapable of action. In this state, they must wait until adequate power (typically received through worship) is gathered, allowing them to rebuild themselves.

The gods that Bastet had called, fled her world as she was destroyed with it. They suspected that Apep, one of three world eaters, sensed the massive power of a congregation of many gods, and attacked the source of that power.
What is concerning, is that Apep has been under control while being watched by Set for eons.

To investigate what had become of Set one god managed to meet with him. Uncertain of what became of himself, Set said that Apep was somehow ripped away from him by a more powerful god. He suggested the possibility that this culprit was his brother Osiris, and their sister (Osiris’s twin and wife) Isis, for Set had clashed with them in the past and there are still hard feelings.

Meanwhile, Elatha and Solrac went to an ancient version of Ireland where Elatha chose to enlist the aid of a human warrior maiden named Scatha*h and teach Solrac the process of collecting human envoys.
Elatha also called upon the Celtic goddess, Nemetona to accompany Aequitas (called Maat by the Egyptians) to the realm of Osiris and Isis to investigate the possibility of their seizing Apep.

Osiris and Isis had become one disembodied god- clearly vain and mad with power, referring to itself in third person as *One.” Angry with Aequitas and Nemetona’s rudeness, Osiris/Isis had a cult of Isis destroy an alter to Nemetona in England (this would be similar to punching someone in the face with the intention of breaking their nose.)
Aequitas and Nemetona are still trying to reason with the Egyptian sovereign gods and find answers.
Elatha and Solrac are still in Ireland, trying to get Scatha*h on their side.

Meanwhile (again) a goddess named Serqet had been watching Bastet’s world as it was destroyed. Serqet is also a goddess of protection (amongst many other things) and was even part of the force that contained Apep during its first rampage eons ago.
Serqet feels the need to become involved, capturing Apep again while preventing the other two World Eating Serpents (Nordic Nidhoggr and the mysterious Red Dragon which no one really seems to know anything about) from being unleashed as well. Seeking an ally, she approached a god of courage and fear, Adrian, and is now meeting with him in his home.

That’s where everything is at right now. I think I’ll have Serqet suggest going to Rane** for help, and that will be how we introduce your character once his background is touched up to fit into the game.))

((Thanks for the catch up! I did make Ranehk myself! I've changed his backstory and tried to make it short and without too much detail, in hopes not to interfere with the other character's stories. Anubis and Ranehk are now only step brothers, and Nephthys raised them both. Ranehk was born with his dead arm simply because he's the son of a world-eater. I wanted Ranehk to still take after Apep though, so I explained that he was always curious about his Father. Is that all good? Is there anything I missed?

Thanks again! I'm looking forward to rping.))

((Sorry about being gone for a while. Even if it is summer, life still manages to get in the way of free time.))

With this being unfamiliar territory, and him technically learning more about being a god, Sol had decided to simply stand, watch, and listen to everything that happened and was said. Though, on the initial sight of the Slaugh, and hearing what they could do, it took all his willpower to not charge right in and destroy them all. Those things sounded far to similar to some of the creatures that dwelled in the deeper darker places of his home.

Still though, this was apparently a test for Elatha's chosen champion, so he would respect the both of them by not interfering. After all, he was sure that if things got to dangerous, the other god would intervene himself. And as Scatha** took on the shadowy beasts, he had to admit that she very much impressed him. The way she fought, and the ease of which she slew them spoke of much experience. And the fact that she wasn't afraid of what she was facing told him that she was both brave for taking them on, and intelligent to know how to fight them.

Seeing the last of the Slaugh fleeing, a small amount of light began to gather in his hand, ready to destroy them, though he allowed it to fade as they were easily picked off. "Yes, impressive," he says in response to Elatha's statement. Noticing that his fellow god's chosen champion was approaching them, Sol decides to follow Elatha's lead and begin to approach her as well. "How you find her?"

((It happens, Solrac. No biggie. Happy to see you online again.))
((Madacombo, things look in order now. I do have one last question though. Your character’s realm seems very vast, and elaborate. This is perfectly fine, but I wanted to make sure you know exactly was a god’s realm is- It’s basically their house, a world in which they live, rest, flee too when in danger or disgruntled. Usually its an island or a vast place with a single building.

You are free of course, to have it be whatever you want. I just wanted to make sure you realized what I was asking you to create.))

Isis laughed. It was distinctly Isis.
Once, the goddess had been kind and loving, motherly and sisterly. She had been pure of heart. But time had made her bitter, and for eons, she had somehow fooled historians and anthropologists into confusing her with other ancient goddess queens- and that made her popular and strong.
Her laugh was cold and filled with both hatred and amusement.
“You have no idea who you are messing with,” Isis whispered in Aequitas’s ear.

There were many pagans through out history, even in the modern Earth world, who worshiped and prayed to Isis in one form or another. She sent eight of them to kill a slew of judges that they felt had wronged them by sentencing the ninth member of their coven to time they felt she did not deserve.

“You can*t win,” Nemetona told Aequitas.

Listen to your friend, Maat. One cannot be beaten.
Or even fought for that matter.
You think to strike One?
And you would do so in One's own home? Where all the power of One floods through this place?
You are far more foolish than One ever thought.

Through out time, judges were murdered in their homes. A court building was caught on fire. Cleopatra, believed to be the last mortal incarnation of Isis escape justice by committing suicide with the bite of a poisonous asp.
Strikes against Aequitas.

“If you had a plan,” Nemetona hissed at Aequitas, “It’s failing,”

Serqet crossed her arms thoughtfully. “Who set Apep loose?” she repeated. “No one knows yet,” she replied to Adrian. “The gods that Bastet gathered went to Set, and he blames his siblings of course. Osiris and Isis… To be honest,” she said. “It would not surprise me if it was them after all. Ever since Isis, her son, and her sister put Osiris back together and punished Set, there’s been bad blood in that family. Osiris and his wife are petty gods these days. And amongst the most powerful and widely worshiped- Isis especially,” Serqet explained. “They’re one of few gods who’d feel secure enough to pick a fight like this on a whim.”

She paced through the room, carrying desert winds and the smell of herbs as her scorpions danced around her steps. “Did you know that Apep has a son? I’m not sure how entirely,” she said. “But Nephthys found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time in the days before Apep was bound to her husband. She gave birth to Rane**. He might be worth speaking to about his father… if one could call Apep such a thing,” she said. “Will you go with me to him?*

--- already, a trio of brightly colored scorpions were skittering through the desert of Rane**’s realm. The scent of cloves wafted off of them as they searched the realm for the god’s home.

“In this world,” Elatha told Sol *The Warrior Maiden is well known. Her spear is of divine origins, and this a world from which my closest colleagues and I receive much prayer. We stay aware of what happens here.”

“And who are you?” asked the Shadow as she approached the two gods.

“You do not recognize me,” Elatha said, holding out his arms. “We met in another world. In another time,” said the god. “And I have been with you nearly ever night,” he said with a gesture to the moon.

She looked at him with much intrigue and bowed her head. “I am sorry,” she said politely, but not willing to show subjugation. “No doubt you come to me for a reason, lord,” she said. “Who is your company?”

Elatha looked to Sol to give the young god an opportunity to introduce itself.
Sol would be flooded with Knowing, suddenly aware that he would quickly become a god in this world as he was a god in his own. His name would be repeated to others. Any power he exhibited would discussed. If he earned respect from this woman, he might even find worship and power from the Celtic people.

The Twin gods. Doesn't it sound like us? It does! It DOES! We are TWINS!
~
Adrian squinted, and focused on what was being said, instead of his raging mind. Bringing his right hand to his chin, Adrian considered the events. "If the twin gods are behind this, we might have a bigger issue on our hands."

Adrian headed towards the kitchen area, and poured himself a glass of what looked like water. He drank the liquid, and thought for a second.

~A son? The destroyer of worlds has a son? How odd. Talking to him could brin...
COULD BRING WHAT? SOLUTIONS TO PROBLEMS NOT YOURS?

You would endanger us for the sake of others? You foolish swine.
~

It had been a while since both voices in his head had spoken in unison about anything.

"Alright, I will go with you. Let us find this Son of Apep. He might hold information we require."

Warm.

The warm sand filtered between Ranehk's fingers as he let each grain free into the wind. His cloak waved in front of him, pushed by the warm breeze from behind him.

Under the shadow of his eyebrows, his dark eyes could be seen staring into the distance. Through the screen of sand, he saw two individuals.

Ranehk's lips cracked open the slightest bit to murmur,
"Serqet and Adrian.."

The last grain of sand in Ranehk's hand slowly fell onto the worn out gray boots that were half burrowed in the sand. A warm breeze blew the grain on Ranehk's boot off and into the air, as if it was delicately being picked up. It floated right, then left. It floated down, then up. The breeze took it on a trip, going faster then slower, until it hit a cheek.

Echalim stood still in front of Ranehk, she had been summoned.

"What can I do for you, Father?"

Ranehk took a deep breath in, then growled to his daughter muffled words behind his mask,
"We're about to have.. visitors. Stay close for the entire interaction."

Echalim stared into the darkness on Ranehk's face that was his eyes. She grabbed a hanging cloth from over her shoulder and wrapped it around her mouth. A stronger breeze passed sand through Echalim as she de-materialized, she now floats with the wind and shifts with the sand, following Ranehk, and awaiting his visitors.

Ranehk's cloak started to adopt a feather-like pattern. His arms turned to wings and his nose and chin shaped into a beak. He flapped his wings and soared only a few meters above the sand as a giant vulture, until he perched on a boulder that was half-buried in the sand.
