His head is white with shades of pink, and his eyes are still as dark as ever. He spread his wings, casting a shadow on the sand below him before re-positioning his wings in a comfortable way; tucked to his sides. His claws hanged on to the hard rock, scratching and chipping it slightly.

The sand in the wind caught itself in Ranehk's feathers while he waited on the rock. Like a statue, he stared into the dunes, immobile. The only thing moving was the sand with the wind, and the thoughts running through Ranehk's mind. His head would never stop processing, thinking ahead and reacting to everything he could imagine. Apep was on his mind as of recently, Knowing he had been released and had already eaten.

The dunes seemed to very slowly shift around the boulder Ranehk was perched on. Every breath of wind would push the sand around, keeping the desert alive.

Alone in the endless desert, Ranehk waited eagerly for his visitors to arrive.

What could they be bringing?
What kind of trade would take place?
What would I get out of this?
What do they want?

Thoughts ran through Ranehk's mind as he contemplated if he was pleased or upset at the thought of visitors in Nephthys.

((I did understand it was supposed to only be a sort of home for the god, but I wanted to make more out of it. I'm playing it off of Ranehk's greed; just a home wouldn't be enough for him. He needs an entire treasury, and cities to praise him. The Nephthys Desert is his playground. I hope that's alright with you!))

Hearing that the woman who destroyed the Slaugh was well known in this world wasn't a particularly big surprise. After all, someone that skilled and confident had probably fought off many other things by now, and that usually amounted to being known. Hearing that her spear had divine origins did raise a couple of questions in Sol's head, after her realized what divine meant that is. Still, he decided to hold them off for until he and Elatha were alone.

When the opportunity came for him to be introduced, he was more then ready to introduce himself the same way that he did to his fellow gods. At least, that was until he was filled with a strange sense of knowledge. It had been happening a lot lately, and was something else he would have to ask about. But, from what he just found out, he apparently had an opportunity to gain worshipers in this world, to become a god to them as well.

This, was definitely something new for Sol. After all, he hadn't known exactly what he was until recently, and was still learning more about himself. While he realistically knew that gaining more worshipers would mean that they would have a better chance against whatever was killing their kind, something about it seemed wrong to him. Maybe it was because he didn't have any real connection with the people of this world?

Or, maybe it was the image of the Lightwell in the world he was a god, and his own personal realm flashing through his mind. For some reason, he was very much connected to them. And while he could hear when people spoke of him even when he wasn't there, it was whenever they spoke to the Lightwell's or offered things to it that he truly could hear them and know how to help. Not to mention the fact that according to what people said, and his own memories, he had emerged from the Lightwell like this.

After these thoughts finished racing through his mind, he ended up coming to a decision. He wasn't going to abandon his own people, but he certainly wasn't going to let such

an opportunity go to waste. Sure, he would have to figure out how to create another Lightwell, or perhaps ask one of the other gods if they knew how to do it or something similar. But right now, he had a first impression to make to not only Scatha**, but to the whole Celtic People.

Taking a deep breath, he calms his mind a bit before he speaks, he wills his power to make an aura of white light appear around himself; enough for it to be noticed, but not enough to blind. He then concentrates on the other aspects of his power to cause a bit of the aura to flicker like a flame, and for a calming feeling to radiate from it. "I am Sol," he states simply at first, his voice calm yet strong. "I am Light. I am Fire. And I am Life. I fight darkness that threatens innocent." Then gesturing to Elatha. "And I am Ally."

"Justice is nerve failing... Just delayed" Aequitas whispered back to Nemenota. He felt his heart skip a beat as his judge's hearts beat their last. A single tear flowed down his right cheek, the falling of his children was not an act he forgave or forgot. But fighting against the twins would require more than just brawn and displays of violence.

He knew Nemenota was growing weary of his failed attempt at retaliation, though it seemed fruitless, she had not fear. Aequitas repositioned himself directly in front of her, his back obscuring her view. Silently, the god slipped his left hand out of the coat, and extended it backwards to the goddess. With his touch, he would let her Know his plan.

Osiris and Isis were once his friends, he knew them well. Corruption and evil lay in Isis' heart, not Osiris. If a bad apple had go bad and rotten the other, the cause would be the goddess, not the god. Isis is likely to have merged with Osiris, but a perfect unity is nearly impossible, a part of each god will remain independent. The more aggravated he could make Isis, the more her flawed link would show. It was Maat's role to judge the souls, his feather being the final word. Osiris was not a mean god, he was known merciful and loving. If Maat words could tilt Isis into a blind rage, the personality split in their unity would shine. Speed and cunning would be needed, but Maat could then strike the merging souls, armed with the feather of truth, and split the two souls, freeing Osiris from his twin's corruption. Aequitas would need Nemenota's aid in aggravating her further, Osiris' safety was now his mission.

"Oh Isis, your actions betray your weaknesses... You are nothing to me. In the eyes of time, you are but a blink, dying out just as soon as it birthed. You power is virtually null. Not even minor gods would fear you. Here I am, in your realm, and you call this power? Isis, my Queen, how you have wilted away. I AM JUSTICE, I AM ETERNAL ETERNAL! YOU ARE NOTHING!"

"YOU ARE A QUEEN OF THE OLDEN DAYS, NO ONE KNOWS YOUR NAME! YOU MAY HAVE A FEW ACOLYTES EAGER TO THROW THEIR LIVES AWAY, BUT THEIR VERY ACTIONS BETRAY YOU! BY KILLING MY JUDGES YOU EXACTED AN ACT OF REVENGE, AN ACT BASED ON THE IDEA THAT JUSTICE NEEDED TO BE RESTORED! YOU HAVE NOT DIMINISHED MY HOLD OVER YOU, YOU MERELY INCREASED IT!" Anger did not flow through Aequitas' blood, but he needed to set Isis' wrath free. By seemingly giving into anger, he hoped Isis would employ the same tone, letting her words flow into hatred. He knew her weaknesses, the knowledge that her golden age was short, the knowledge that she is irrelevant to most of the world. Humans fear loneliness, but gods fear it most.

((It’s fine, I just wanted to make sure.))

Serqet gave a nod to Adrian to thank him, and was gone. A single step took her to Rane**’s world. She had already sent him the request to enter and he seemed to have already replied.

She stepped in front of the large vulture that was Rane**, scorpions dancing around her feet. The goddess gave a slight bow to her host.
“I imagine you already have realized why I am here,” she told the god. “A world-eater is free, and he ate the world of a close friend. Apep has destroyed Bastet and swims through the Eonfold. No doubt it has destroyed other gods by now too,” she said.
She thought to search her mind for such gods, listening as if she could detect their silence in the endless expanse of everything. She found nothing. If Apep had eaten again since Bast, it had not been anyone close to Serqet.

*I shackled your father long ago with Ra,” she told Rane** more for convention than anything else. She was sure he already knew. “Your mother led us to him and we bound him to Set. It was when your mother was still carrying you in her womb,” she said. “If we listen closely… we can track Apep down again,” she said with confidence. “But things in the Eonfold are changing and gods are dying. I do not expect Apep is the same creature that Ra and I face so long ago. I seek company and your unique heritage might be of use,” Serqet told Rane*h. “I’ve brought another ally, and from what I understand, Maat and a Celtic Goddess named Nemetona are already investigating the matter of Apep’s rampage.”

You think you're something don't you? Came the inaudible voice of the god that was both Isis and her brother. Chuckling echoed all across the chaotic landscape of their world.
And you think Isis is a queen only in the past. In even modern versions of the Earth world there are pagans who worship Isis and the goddesses she has absorbed. Even pieces of Hera and Hestia belong to Isis. Popular culture covets her. Occultists pray to her.

She is stronger than you will ever be.
And you stand in a world that was once half hers, and insult her?
If One did not have history with you* One would do more than kill simple nothing-judges.

All at once, the entire world seemed to dissolve. For a moment, Nemetona thought that Aequitas had done something to hurt Isis and Osiris enough that they could not keep their world built.
But she felt the wrenching of the physical matter that was her body- the sensation of being pulled. In the same way that Isis and Osiris had surrounded Nemetona and Aequitas with their world and pulled them into it- they spit them back out.

The world vanished, and Aequitas and Nemetona stood in the dark emptiness between worlds.
It was suddenly so quiet compared to the chaotic sand and lightning storm of the Egyptian soverigns’ world.

Nemetona would have glowered at Aequitas had this been her mission- but Elatha had asked her to accompany Aequitas, not the other way around.
Yet still she found herself unsettled. Her purpose had been to resolve matters if they went awry. They had, and she had not.
She was even more disturbed by the power that the two gods seemed to garner. Isis had always been amongst the strongest gods, perhaps the only one who thought otherwise was Vishnu…

But now she was something else. Combined with Osiris, Nemetona felt that Isis had become something awful.

“We need a new plan,” the Celtic goddess said, turning to Aequitas. She felt there was nothing to say about Isis and her brother- they were beyond reasoning, and in her opinion there was no more way of dealing with them that would have worked. If there had been, she imagined that that chance was gone now.

“It is good to meet you, god of light.” the Warrior Maiden said with a bow of her head. “They call me the Shadow. The sun and the moon have approached me. This must be of great importance.”

There are many gods of sun and light in this world.
Elatha told Sol without voice.
Aine, Etain, Sulis, Al***us, Belenos, and Gronw Pebr.
You must be careful to distinguish yourself from them. If you are confused to be some aspect of them then you run the risk of binding your worship to theirs. They are older than you, and more recognized. They may absorb pieces of you incidentally and otherwise. Your conscious being would overlap theirs.

“Scatha**,” Elatha said to the warrior. “Something is on time’s horizon, the likes of which you cannot comprehend as a mortal. Gods you have never been exposed to are beginning to fight. Though you do not know them, they are powerful gods. We wish to stop that fight before it escalates into war.”

“I understand,” Scatha** said. “But what do you require of me?”

“Rally the people to pray to the Sun and Moon,” he said. “That will give us strength. Be ready for a fight. It is possible that those powerful gods will send monsters here to wipe away those who support us.”

“You know I can deal with monsters,” she answered, spinning her spear in one hand before slamming the head of it into the earth.

Elatha nodded. “And should strange things happen* you will construct an alter to us and deliver a message through it.”

She nodded. “Very well, lords,” she said. “Now explain, if you would… this fight. What is it over? No one fights without reason.”

“I am still not certain,” Elatha admitted. “But I know that there is someone who means to steal gods from the world. They would leave you and your people without divine protection or guidance. They want a world that they would rule over alone, I imagine. Or want one that would be completely subject to chaos.”

Scatha** nodded. “I will go to the cities then,” she said. “And inspire some faith,” she offered.
Elatha nodded in return as the woman began to leave. He looked at Sol and offered a slight smile. “For now, that is all we need. Prayer is our source of power. And preparedness may come in handy in the future. Did Scatha** remind you of anyone from home who fill the same role there?”
