((Yeah...I've been procrastinating posting just because I haven't really felt like it. Sorry, I know I'm horrible in that regard.

And I'm fine with that, Reaper. Not a problem at all.))

"
Well, I'd say that you owe it mostly to the wishes of a dead god, for it was his wish that I be among the number of those investigating the subject. The rest can be attributed to the curiosity that is intrinsic to my nature.
" she told Aequitas. Her tone was normal for a relay of information, placing her as someone giving a lecture rather than a simple talk between friends. It was how she always was, and he knew that. As she liked to say, everything in the Aeonfold acted according to their nature, and Gods were even greater perpetrators of that than mortals.

That did not mean she was not glad to see him. Another seeker such as herself was a good addition to the group, and someone that she knew made it easier to trust. His memory was still intact, as well, and it granted perspective on things that she did not have regardless of how much knowledge she could accumulate.

"
Of course.
" she said to Elatha's request. "
Set was able to be reached, and I was able to have a nice discussion with him. The books seemed eager to put us in contact, for the connection did not take long at all to put together. It was as simple as sending you a message, really, and that is something I was somewhat surprised by. With matters of importance, they typically dislike cooperation. It's like searching for a needle in a haystack, to use the expression of the world we are on, except for the fact that the needle is constantly moving to areas you have already searched.

"
Now, according to Set, his link to Apep is broken.
" she continued, standing up on her chair. It was a somewhat amusing scene, for even standing she barely matched the other gods in height. "
That is important because of the nature of the chaos snake's control. It is not bound, not to a realm. Set had control of it, and kept it from moving through the Eonfold by his will. With the link gone, he can no longer control it, and that is why it is moving through the Eonfold.
"

"
He suspects the reason for this may lie with his siblings, Osiris and Isis. The three of them have a connection of sorts, and he believes that it is with this that they may have been able to affect the link. There is no proof, but they are currently the only suspects. However, there are two more serpents, and it is possible whoever set Apep loose in the Eonfold may wish to go after them as well. I only know the location of one: Nodhogg. It is supposed to lie below the roots of Yggd*asil. The other, the Red Dragon, is locked away somewhere else, and my memory will not allow me to know where. The only image I have for clues is this.
"

At this point, she brought up the image of the endless cold sea that Set had shown her so that everyone could see.

"
I am sharing this with you because he advised caution should one attempt to deal with his siblings.
" she finished, sitting back down.

((That’s alright, Inferi. I hope your motivation does pick up though :D ))

“Isis and Osiris….” Repeated Elatha. He had never seen the two of them himself, but he knew them well by reputation.

They were old gods, along with Set. Their influence has once held incredible power in ancient Egypt. Isis particularly had influence that extended even to Greece. She was strong. Especially when with her brother-husband.
Osiris, her twin, had proclaimed himself the king over the other gods that had come to control that time and place. Set had tried to fight him, and had nearly won until Isis’s son, Horus defeated him and helped his mother to bring Osiris’s physical form back.
The twins had a horrible fued against Set* Elatha, and most gods, knew that. But why inflict such damage by releasing Apep….

“They are not gods I would want to be on the bad side of,” Elatha said. “Set was right to give a warning… But we must speak with them. We run the risk now, of stretching ourselves too thin. I think it is indeed time that we seek mortal allies. Aequitas, and Eleria… may I suggest that you be the ones to speak to the twins… perhaps Grey shall accompany you while the rest of us gather more help. If Isis and Osiris are our enemies in this… we face an incredible challenge.”

((Glad we are rping again! :D ))

Aequitas remain silent at the request. He knew Eleria well, yet she still amazed him. Her knowledge concerning even the most recent events was unmatched. She came heeding the gods to caution, and she was right. Justice was no stranger to the twin gods. She had often been called upon in ancient Egypt under the name of Maat. There she had worked hand in hand with Anubis, the god of the afterlife-death. These days of old were plagued with the struggle between Seth and the two twins. Justice knew within her heart that both parties needed each other in order to survive, "good" vs "evil". In her eyes, neither was more justified than the other. However, the idea of a god-king was never pleasing to her, too much power within a single being is never appropriate, as they see fit to bend the rules of law to accommodate their own desires. Arrogance and pride such as this was cause of delusions of grandeur. It could not be reasoned with.

If it were true that the twins set loose the great snake, than peril was at hand. Awaiting the gods would be a struggle for the eon books. Isis and Osiris are extremely strong, Elatha was right, they were strong enough to have been rulers amongst god- something no one at this table could boast.

"I accept your offer, Elatha. My past with them should grant us an audience in their court. We will question them about the Apep. Eleria and I are known amongst gods as being impartial in conflicts, they will not initially view as a threat. If they came to do so, Eleria and I bear a strong bond, our strength together would make even the twins question an open war against us."
He pause briefly, than began anew,
"I pray you and the others be stead-fast, Elatha. Though we could hold our own against Isis and Osiris, these two boast allies of great power, such as their son Horus. I doubt they will take kindly to our inquisitions."

((Finally done with my exams and school for the summer. Thank goodness to. My brain was getting fried.))

While her understanding of what was going on was slowly increasing, Sol was quickly lost on what was being said when Eleria spoke. The most she was able to get out of it were something about twin gods, and two other serpents. Of course, mentioning the Red Dragon did cause her eyes to unintentionally turn draconic briefly, even if she was unaware of what it was. So, it wouldn't be to much of a surprise that she remained quite and in fact had her face screwed up in concentration as she tried to piece together what was said.

Hearing the mention of mortals and allies again seemed to break that concentration though, and she looked over at Elatha curiously. She wondered where exactly they would find willing mortals to help them fight? She would recommend her own people, but she didn't want to put them in danger. Sure, some of them were a little stir crazy with the peace and light she had brought, and often ventured out into the darkness to fight and hunt. But would they be ready for whatever they would face if they helped out her fellow gods?

Eventually, she turns to Elatha and decides to pose a question. "What type mortal allies," she asks. "Brave? Loyal? Strong?"

"
Impartial is the nicer way to put it, although apathetic would be more accurate in my case.
" Eleria commented. She had no issue with going to speak to the gods, and gaining Justice as an ally made it a more agreeable situation as well. Unlike her, however, Eleria did not think they would be able to fight. Escape, perhaps, but fighting was something that she was sure Isis and Osiris would have the advantage in. Perhaps before, in the time she could not remember, she would have been able to rival them, but now she was not so sure.

It wasn't that she lacked for sources to draw power from; indeed, she had as many, if not more, than any other god. An infinitely flowing stream was an incredible source, after all. Yet, despite that, it did not grant as much power as some might imagine. Unlike those with specific followers, it granted only the merest fraction of what it could. The benefit may be substantial, but it was not all it could be.

"
We should be careful how we ask.
" she mused. "
If we are too accusatory, and they may refuse to say anything. However, if we sound as though we know nothing, they may say nothing as well, using our apparent lack of knowledge as a means to keep us in the dark.
"

With a grin, she added, "
Of course, they might just refuse to talk to us anyways.
"

Regardless of the outcome, it would tell them something. There were too many things that others did that could give them away, and she knew what they all were. It was unfortunate, then, that she was not nearly as good at picking up on these things. One could know everything, but unless that knowledge could be applied it was useless. That was the greatest challenge, and the greatest weakness, of any who wanted to seek knowledge.

Elatha gave a nod to the two older gods, wishing them luck on their way. He was uncertain of what the twins’ realm would be like, or have for them. He was quite certain though, that just entering that place would put Eleria and Aequitas in peril. Osiris and Isis thought very highly of themselves… they were like Jupiter in that way, and it was a trait that never failed to make a god dangerous to everyone everything around it.

He was reminded of stories he had heard only parts of… images that came to him from his divine Knowing.
Floods. Wars. Worlds ending.

He shook his head to clear it, and then looked at Sol. “Yes,” he told the new god. “But also kind and compassionate… they will need a love of humanity and the world. I know of one… she resides in the same time and place from which I garner much of my power. Let us go to her first, and should she remind you of anyone, we will go to them next,” he told Sol.

He stood from the table and looked one last time at Eleria and Aequitas. “Call us, or come to us, when you have finished your task. If we should be done before you, we will do the same,” he said before walking into the crowded streets, where he could quickly vanish without being seen.
He called for Sol to follow him to an ancient version of Scotland.

Rolling green land, and an overcast gray sky now stretched out before him and he breathed in clean air that was so very different than that of modern New York. It wasn’t Ireland, which he preferred, but it was not far either.
When Elatha was mortal he had come here once or twice, though it was a different plane of reality entirely.
He had met Scatha** then- the Shadow. The Warrior Maid.

He let his suit dissolve into elegant robes and furs and a heavy mantle that shimmered like night sky, and then he waited for Sol.

Sol watched the two other god's leave, murmuring a quick wish for them to have good fortune as they left. And when they did, she looked over towards Elatha and listened. Based on his descriptions, most of the people of his world would fit the build of mortal champions that they were looking for. Granted, nobody really stood above one another there. When it came to surviving travels in the darkness, or assaults by the creatures residing inside of it, individuals got killed quickly. Fighting and exploring as teams had been the main way to survive.

Still, she would follow Elatha and meet this person that he had in mind. After all, she was still new to this, so she might not be getting the exact concepts right. So, when the other god had stood up and left, Sol followed quickly afterwards. While it took her a minute or so to figure out how to follow him, since he was much more subtle this time, she did eventually manage.

Stepping out onto the lush green land, Sol could quite quickly feel the difference between this place and their last location. A rather deep breath is had as she gets a feel for her surroundings, enjoying the much cleaner atmosphere. Noticing a now robed Elatha, a smile appears on Sol's face. Closing her eyes, a light builds around her and flashes before fading to reveal Sol back in his male form.

Ordinarily, he would pat himself down to make sure that everything was back to the way it was supposed to be. This time though was different. He instinctively felt that everything was normal with himself. Turning towards Elatha, he approaches his fellow god. "Where now?"
