I'd also like to point out that the Dark Side is not inherently evil. But because it is banned, only criminals use it. The problem with the Dark Side comes when it is overused - if you continuously rely on hatred to tap into the Force, eventually you'll feel hatred whenever you try to use the Force, and that just isn't healthy.

Also, the Jedi are not good - they take children from their homes, forcing them to leave their families behind, and to feel no emotion. That's part of why Anakin went to the Dark Side and became Darth Vader - he wasn't receiving any support from within the Jedi order. He wasn't even allowed to marry or have children, and had to keep that secret, so there was no one he could talk to about his concern for his family.

The best option is to find a healthy middle-ground. Learn to live with and manage your emotions, instead of throwing yourself into them or casting them aside. You know, like real, healthy, normal people.

Also, what jedi? There aren't any. Like, that's one of the big points. There's no jedi around anymore, and even if there were, why would a kid listen to them?

Luke formed his own council of force-sensitives, didn't he? I assumed he sent himself on a self-imposed exile after Kylo killed them.

Well my character is not going to be brain washed to go on the Darkside

A fundamental flaw in reasoning. For there to be good, there must also be evil to justify good. By being balanced, good or bad must be in equilibrium - ideally meaning a person will be sated enough to not swing in either direction, and thus, can't be the cause of conflict. At least, that is my take on where the plot is heading with this whole "Grey Jedi" business.

I think the problem is that Kylo is a cold sociopath AND an angsty teen. He carelessly orders the death of that one village, and watches Starkiller base destroy all those planets. The only thing he actually seems to regret is killing his father.

I mean, he's not a bad villain, but he isn't a good one either. He wants to be good, he didn't want to kill his father, so why did he go and do that? Why does he want to be evil? You want to rebel against your father? Fine. Do so in a way that doesn't destroy planets.

There's a difference between giving an order, flipping a switch, and killing a man with your own two hands. If a person can detach themselves from a situation to save their sense of righteousness, you can be damn sure they will.

Honestly, the Skywalkers may be a branch family of the Uchiha's, given their genetic predisposition for being a little too emotional.

I suppose the Gray Jedi do have problems of their own. They're constantly standing in the middle of a seesaw between Light and Dark, and if they move too far to one end they'll overbalance and fall in. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

Didn't Kylo actually kill a man with his own two hands though? The guy who knew him before he went Dark Side, and gave Poe the map?
