“And...?” Azura impatiently asked.
“His power grew day after day, with temples being built, and word of his power spreading, and thus creating more influence. He grew content with what he had done, and then relaxed to watch his humans wage war and build and expand. It was all amusing to him,” she stopped to drink from her rum bottle “Many younger gods began to enter this realm. Armadyl, Bandos, Saradomin, and Zaros were the main ones. They too gathered followers and soon gained much power, but tensions were rising quickly. Karamthulhu did not bother forming alliances for he was a much stronger god than them all, and knew he could smite any challengers single handedly, he had no need for allies, or so he thought.”
“Soon, a mighty Mahjarrat, a powerful near godly creature stole a staff from the god Armadyl, and used it to kill Zaros and ascend to god-hood, and then war broke out. Karamthulhu dominated all the enemy armies, his legions of followers were well trained, well equipped with fine steel and magic runestones, and further more they were extremely well motivated. With their helmets designed to look like a fish’s fin, they moved with great strength and agility into the battlefield, devastating the ranks of any enemy, or combined enemies before them.”
“Whoa.” Azura said quietly.
“A very temporary truce was formed between all the other warring gods, and they lured Karamthulhu into an ambush. It was a furious battle in which Saradomin was said to have shouted a profanity in anger, something he had never done before, Bandos’ favorite warhammer was broken, Armadyl lost all his feathers and had to grow new ones, and Zamorak lost an eye, and had to replace it with a mortals!”
