History: Hailing from Havelan, Dalhover grew up in a landowning family, his father a knight, his mother descending from adventurers. Since the world was relatively peaceful, there was not so much need for organized military, though martial arts were important for self-defence against criminals, during civil unrest, and occasional monsters going eastwards.
Inheriting the chivalric elan from his father and adventurous nature of his mother, Dalhover grew up learning everything he could from his father and various martial artists, serving as his father’s squire. Having proved himself, his father knighted him and Dalhover served as a caravan guard, bodyguard, and mercenary amidst his adventures.
Throughout his adulthood, he was a travelling tutor who taught others the art of defence. He travelled throughout the continent; be the lands elven, dwarven, Orcish or Western badlands, Dalhover journeyed, learning survivalism and adaptability, enduring many monstrous encounters. His future wife was also an adventurous woman, Constance, who he eventually married, she living with his parents at their homestead once she got pregnant.
The travelling master eventually ended up a retainer for the Arenar courts, where he taught professional martial arts to the nobility, retainers and agents who desired so. He often shared stories of his adventures, many mixed with tragedy, betrayal by greedy friends, and violent encounters with bandits and monsters which took many of his friends’ and horses’ lives.
