Equipment: A strong belt with a number of easily accessed satchels and pouches, a straight-bladed dagger sheathed on his left - seemingly simple and unremarkable, in excellent condition, but a close inspection proves it has been used often. What is not so clear even from close inspection is the powerful necrotic magic imbued into the blade. Flynn has a pretty large backpack full of his various tools for camping and travel, not to mention curiosities and texts for those relaxed nights by a campfire - albeit he is rarely the one to carry it, that task being given to one of his two permanent 'retainers'.
Finally, set into a deep inner pocket of his coat is a large, leather-bound grimoire. The material is strong, unworn by the passage of time and damage of the elements, warded heavily with his magic - protection from would-be thieves who'd be more likely to have a hand rot off than get more than a few steps away with it.
Magic: Necromancy - or more broadly speaking, death magic.
Retinue: When Flynn first left the capital a host of eight retainers went with him, mixed between those truly loyal to him and those who went simply because they were told to. Now, the prince has but two permanent retainers who walk by his side everywhere - their faces and bodies covered in cloth and solid armour, the slits of their helmets providing only a violet glow to those who look close enough. One wields shield and longsword, the other a hefty two handed maul.
History: Born to the queen, or rather the king's wife at the time, Flynn wanted for nothing in his childhood. He was polite, learned quickly and took great interest in spending time with his siblings whether older or younger. The boy garnered a reputation around the castle as a protective brother, lashing out at those who had bothered or 'hurt' his siblings in some manner, as best a child understood such things, which was often not well as some occasions were as simple as them crying over not wanting to eat vegetables.
