Gallows knelt down in front of her, his lips coming over to her ear. "My lady," he whispered with kindness. "I beg of you... end this madness. Use your—"

"No!" she softly shouted. "I... I promised father... I promised him that I wouldn't use them...!"

Gallows seemed taken aback, unable to piece together why he would ask that of her. "Why?" he questioned.

"Because he hated them just as much as I do." she painfully answered him. He had to look at her for a moment, thinking back to Divus and his always lack of the use of his powers. After that thought, Gallows couldn't help but to respect what she and her father believed. Balor and Uriel watched on in silence, curious at the reason behind the hold up.

Balor sat in his chair, his right leg crossing on top of his left leg. His arms rested comfortably in the arms of the chair. His wonder of the hold up grew rapidly, its vines reached into the corridors of his mind. "What's the delay, Gallows?" the impatient king asked.

Gallows bolted away from Elena, quickly spiraling towards his king. "I was just attempting to gain information," he answered deceptively. "but it was to no avail, sire."

"It's no use," said the angry boy being held by the knights.

Due to his sudden use of his tongue, Elena became concerned about him. She turned her head over in that direction, keeping a close eye on him. Gallows spun towards the boy, his right eyebrow raised. "And what precisely do you mean by that, boy?" he replied, fishing for answers.

"Uriel, don't!" she pleaded for her brother not to answer him.

Uriel wasn't intimidated at all by the general, his eyes angrily pierced into Gallows' face. "Unlike you high-class bootlickers, she won't succumb to fury." he dauntlessly responded despite her sister's beseech.

Balor smiled, pleased by Uriel's show. "Ha, quite a boy we have here!" the king said. Balor suddenly disappeared from his chair and reappeared right in front of Uriel. His sapphire blue glowing eyes peered down Uriel's intense hatred. "But we all know your bravado is just a show."

A blast of saliva then spewed out from Uriel's lips, aiming directly for Balor's face. The liquid smacked Balor right in his face, making him appear quite appalled. That was the boy's answer to Balor, a single act of defiance. Uriel shook his head, disagreeing with the king. "I ain't afraid of you," stated Uriel.

The king's hand wiped down his face, cleaning it of the missile hurled at him. Balor shook with anger, his face and his vision began to turn red with rage. "You should be," suggested Balor. His fist then suddenly came crashing down upon the boy's face, pounding furiously against the bridge of his nose.

Elena quickly sprung to her knees, her pale blue eyes looking frightened over at the scene. "Uriel!" she cried. The soldiers kept the boy from falling to the ground. The center of Uriel's face had a large cut, his nose broken. His face became consumed with pain, his teeth fastened together.

Balor glared down at the afflicted child. "Stupid boy," spoke Balor, insulting the child. But then the king had to turn his attention on another subject, the one who claimed herself as his sister. "I said break her, Gallows."

Gallows gulped, acknowledging exactly what Balor was hinting at. He was fearful that he had to do this horrible thing to the one who he served. He reluctantly bowed his head. "Y-yes, my lord." he apprehensively responded. His sky blue irises then looked downward towards the princess, his expression appeared apoplectic. Gallows launched to his left foot forward, its sole hitting her sternum.

She hit the ground hard, her eyes tightly closed shut. Once she had hit the ground, Gallows walked slowly over to her left side. Her left arm shall be the first target of his forceful wrath. Gallows lifted up his boot to about waist height, looking down at his target. He closed his eyes, trying his best to maintain his loyalty to his king.

The guillotine then fell down, hammering down upon the archer's left upper arm. With her hearing, Elena could hear as her humerus was snapped into two. A crackle turned into a snap, breaking like a twig. Balor walked over to his throne chair as Elena's agonized shouts tore into the atmosphere. Balor reclaimed his throne, sitting comfortably in its lap to watch the show.

Uriel watched on, terrified. Elena had fallen over to her right side, trying her best to cope with the pain. But that truly was an impossible mission. Gallows looked down at Elena, gazing at the suffering he bestowed to her. "I will not ask again," shouted Gallows as an act. "does the Resistance have any members here in Governanti!? Why have you impersonated Princess Lucia!? Tell me now! "

Still she would not answer him, too busy trying to find some remedy to her pain. Gallows impatiently sighed, hastefully making his way to her right side. He then lifted up his boot once more, ready to break her other arm. Balor raised his left hand. "Gallows, halt," the mad king commanded.

Gallows turned to Balor, his right eyebrow raised. "Sire?" he named with question, pulling his foot back down to the ground.

"Bring her here," he replied, pointing at a spot seven feet from the front of his throne. Gallows looked back at the broken archer. He grabbed her by her collar and began to drag her like a child carrying around a stuffed animal. Gallows sat her on her knees in the exact spot Balor wanted her. He stood there to her left side, looking down at her with his arms behind his back.

The king rose from his chair and slowly began to walk over to Elena. Battered, bloody, and riddled with pain, Elena's pale blue eyes dauntlessly looked up at Balor. She was unafraid of him. Balor registered this within himself, this look that couldn't possibly belong to his sister. "I offer you one chance," he said, raising his left index finger. He stood just a foot from Elena, staring her down. His index finger then fell back down to his side. "Where is my sister?"

She didn't say anything... her eyes just stood there beaming at the king's face. Ten seconds of silent transformed into twenty seconds, and on and on. Balor became frustrated with her voicelessness, his ire exploded like a ton of dynamite. His hand reached for the collar of her shirt as he pulled her up off of her feet. The two stared just a few inches from each other's face. "WHERE IS MY SISTER!?" the king's infuriated voice bellowed.

"...Gone," she muttered softly. Balor seemed fazed by Elena's one-word reply, his irises shrunk and his jaw hung slightly open. But then his shock morphed into indignation, his teeth fastened together. He then began to roar, shouting at the top of his lungs. His hand quickly reached for the king's blade, the Arbandor. With his emotion piqued, he pulled the Arbandor out of its hiding spot.

The next thing Elena knew was an intense pain that pierced through her abdomen. The blade came into her body from just below the center of her torso and out the other way. She felt her blood leave her body, the majorelle blue carpet of the throne room ran red with her royal blood. Her eyes widened and her jaw hung open, her breath released in a knife-like gasp.

A fear came to her, the thought of her own brother ending her life tore her up more so than the Arbandor. What would he do if he found out that his sister was murdered and that he was the one to do it? Gallows looked away at this instant, in disbelief that his princess' life was about to come to an end. Uriel couldn't believe his eyes, water had even begun to fill them.

Balor then launched his foot at Elena's chest, kicking her down to the ground. His blade slipped out of her torso and she collapsed onto the ground. She laid there, looking up at the adamas ceiling. The ceiling had images crafted so excellently, of lions, sunflies, birds and of the faces of kings. Elena couldn't help but to just stare at the face of her father.

His gracious smile, his kind voice, and his warm embrace. That was a perfect thing to think of at her final moments, she believed. Her mind wandered onto them, the family that she loved with her whole heart. The family that had been robbed from her, all by this one person... her own brother whom she loved very much.

"Is that it?" questioned a strange voice with a heavy accent in Elena's head. "Are you going to let yourself die like this? Are you going to give up like a Veléfol -- like a coward?"

Balor stepped over to Elena's right side. He fell down onto his knees, his savage eyes glared down upon her face. "I have one last use for you before you die," stated Balor, latching his right hand around Elena's forehead as tight as a vise grip. "As much as it disgusts me to have to come to this, it is necessary."

Just like the life that had begun to drain from her body, she felt information pouring out of her head. It was the strangest feeling, to know something then to sudden forget it within a second. Balor's vision saw images flash at gale speeds, knowledge had begun to flood his head. Of their plans, their secrets, and of all their missions. Balor heard their voices speak to him as if he were Elena, going back to things she heard throughout her memories.

Six years ago, he saw Elena in her view speaking to Divus. The two stood next to the doors leading outside of the castle. The doors were open wide, showing the brightly lit night of the full moon. "You'll do well," the former king's voice believed.

She sighed. "I hope so," she replied.

"I know so," he confidently returned, correcting his daughter. "Be safe, okay? You're not going to have your powers, so don't do anything reckless."

She shook her head. "I know," she confirmed, turning her head towards the outside. 'Well, I'd better get going."

"Very well," acknowledged Divus. Divus then threw his arms around his daughter, wrapping her in a warmhearted embrace. The father's heart was very emotional, he wore a sad but proud smile on his face. After a moment, Divus pulled away from his daughter. "I love you, Lucia."

She smiled, his eyes a little foggy with water as she looked up at her father. "Love you too, father," she replied, turning her body towards the outside. "Goodbye."

Balor suddenly zipped back into the reality. His eyes widened as he came back, his heart sank down into his stomach. He felt almost nauseous, disgusted by what he had seen. He sluggishly pulled his hand away from Elena's face. Balor had been sitting there for a few minutes at best. But that memory, along with the others that he had gathered brought him to a strange truth.

His eyes then saw a shine come from her neck. He then frantically reached his hand over to that shine and grasped it. Pulling it out of its hiding place, it revealed a necklace he hadn't laid eyes on in over six years. His hand then went underneath the lower portion of her shirt, looking for something.

His fingers ran down her lower torso, finding a slightly bumpy patch of skin just above where her liver would be. The skin didn't feel at all as smooth of the rest, terrifying him even more. The sight of this patch was the exact place where his sister was stabbed all of those years ago. Balor fell backwards, he crawled one step away from her.

He had this look of utter horror and shock. What has he done? What kind of sick state of mind was he in? "Lucia..." he named with agony, crawling back over to her. "Lucia!" He pulled her limp body into his arms, his eyes turning on their watering hoses and began to pour tears of regret and sorrow. He shook her as if he were trying to wake her. "Lucia!" he once again called, shouting her name. But unfortunately for him, she was not on a journey to the Land of Nod. "Sister!"

He realized shortly after that no matter what he tried, nothing would happen. "What..." he muttered softly. "What have I done!?" After his words -- his curses to himself -- the tears had finally broken through the wall of his endurance. He began to cry hysterically, his wail heard all throughout the castle.

"Come back...!" he begged her with a broken voice. His head then fell down, his face hidden. "Come back to me...! Lucia...!" But as much as he pleaded, nothing would change. She still remained as lifeless as the previous second.

And as much as he prayed, he knew if he thought about it for a moment... she wasn't coming. Elsewise, she would have used her powers to protect herself. He felt so utterly lost, terrified and anger with himself for committing this complete act of treason against all that he stood for.

Uriel's slightly teary turquoise eyes stabbed at the king's back. "Killing your own sister because you were too crazy to see reality..." softly spoke the boy in the back. "...Serves you right."

Gallows's head quickly spun towards the boy, his index finger pummeled the air towards the boy. "Silence, child!" the general yelled in a threatening tone.

Balor stood up, tears still running down his face. His sapphire blue irises turned towards Uriel, who truly did speak his own brand of truth. "What would you know, boy!?" angrily growled the king.

"She was my sister too..." he admitted to Balor, his eyes falling down. "Probably 'cause I reminded her of you."

Balor looked downward, his nose blowing out a sigh. "Gallows," the king named, his eyes looked up at his general. "kill the boy."

Gallows quickly turned towards his king. "But what of your plans?"

Balor's face was gelid, as callous as one could become. "Forget them..." he apathetically replied. Acknowledging the will of his master, Gallows twisted his body towards Uriel. The scar-faced general began walking towards him, drawing his blade. Gallows stood over the boy, his eyes digging into Uriel's soul.

But the boy with the arm cloak was not afraid, his turquoise eyes ran as swiftly as they could to meet with the sky blue train. As Gallows lifted his arms up to exact his command, his cape then flattered into the air. This happening took the general by surprise, catching his attention. A familiar titan stood behind Gallows, his green eyes sternly staring forward.

"Stop," shouted the messenger. "Your time has come!" Gallows quickly turned around and lunged his sword as fast as he could. His powerful metal blade impaled the messenger's steel plated armour, entering through the center of where his small intestines would be.

Gallows' teeth were gripped heavily as an aggressive expression warped his face. Soter didn't seem at all fazed by this action made against him, he didn't even seem to be in pain. His face still wore that stern, serious mask. There was no blood ushering out from the wound, even after the general pulled his blade out of Soter.

All that came out was this strange sparkling magic stuff that looked like small embers from a fire. They floated up into the air before disappearing from sight just beneath Soter's chin. Gallows seemed shocked by this, taking a step backwards. "What the...?" uttered Gallows. The general was not about to back down, he quickly readied himself for a downward slash.

He swung his blade furiously downward, attempting to cut his blade across Soter's torso. And then the bolt of lightning struck, a blade as fast as such came straight across Gallows' right arm. Soter had made his viper strike, severing the general's right arm completely. Gallows was breathtaken beyond belief as he dropped to the ground clenching onto his right shoulder.

His sliced half fell just to his side, cut so cleanly. His blood oozed all over the majorelle blue carpet, painting it scarlet. Gallows bellowed, dealing with this intense pain that was simply too much to bear. Balor knew without looking exactly who it was to inflict so much pain upon his general. Soter walked towards the king, his blade ready in his hands. "Emperor Balor Pallas Barn of the Kingdom of Governanti," named Soter. "by the will of the Elder Gods... I hereby announce your extermination."
