He was back again in Lumbridge, standing amidst the flames and corpses of his fallen comrades... He could even hear their blood-curdling shrills rip through the air, sending a shiver down his spine like it were the coldest night.

" Palaemmir, " this single label sundered the blood-red world around the crown-bearer, releasing him from the grips of his bloodstained, flame-engulfed past. His purple eyes closed, breathing rapidly as though panicked, his heart rate elevated. Yet his anxiety began to ease, finding himself back in reality. His mind was returned, the private quarters of the king surrounded him.

The king breathed deeply, clinching the bridge of his nose as he attempted to regain himself. "...Thank you, Lamia," the silver-haired crown-bearer gratefully expressed, steadily calming down.

"My concern grows, Palaemmir, " the tender, motherly voice of the Neheztelian goddess Lamia confessed truthfully. "As you speak of her, your throat swells as if smothered by the smoke of the flames which scar your mind. Are you certain that this is your desire?"

"It doesn't matter how I feel, the truth has to be told," the crown-bearer calmly asserted, looking off to his right. His purple eyes locating her, the source of that motherly voice which spoke to him. A strange, otherworldly, feminine-figured being, whose bare feet floated off of the ground. She seemed non-physical, appearing somewhat transparent. Yet her dark purple skin, glowing red eyes, and shimmering, wispy pale red hair appeared all-too-real. Indeed, whether she was physical or a simple ethereal being was indeterminable.

The king's stern eyes then peered back into the window of fate before him, dropping off into the distant cityscape. He gazed upon this world he had created, its night-soaked complexion camouflaging the city's evening activities. Life as all knew it had changed, for banners of a winged dragon conquered banners of a winged lion.

"I never realized how much time has passed since I fell from this window," the silver-haired king reminisced, then lightly chuckled. "It's funny, because it feels as though it happened just yesterday."

As he remembered everything, climbing up this ladder just his uncle told him, the scarred king stared confidently, boldly, into the night. "I've done a lot since then, but there's still much more to do," he stated aloud, unafraid and without falter. "What I set out to do, it's not yet complete. There are Solasúians who discriminate, still humans who unjustly suffer, and..."

His hands clenched most angrily as his voice dissipated, eaten away by the indignation that swelled in his heart. Yes, among the many memories of his past, the good and the torturous, there was the sight of one in particular that continue to torment him. The faces, the sights, and the struggle of those humans within the decrepit city to the far west...

"...Silas Alverra still enslaves humankind," the silver-haired king finally uttered, the ire seething beneath his tone. "Now that Governanti is situated, it's time to break those chains once and for all."

" Palaemmir, " the strange-looking being Lamia earnestly called, attracting his attention. "Do not forget the words which you have vowed unto me."

"I haven't. I won't."

"That is all I ask." As the king intended to speak further, there was then a knock at the door. A subtle, almost conveniently-placed knock, tapping against the thick, beautifully crafted door. Yet the silver-haired king turned not backwards, fixing his purple eyes firmly upon the window afore him.

"What is it?" The king questioned loudly, speaking to whoever resided behind the door.

The door was then calmly pushed ajar, a soul passing through its exquisite nature. His hazel, subtly glowing eyes located the back of the king, affixed upon the seamless blue satin of his cape. The hazel-eyed man appeared as a reflection upon the glass of the window, the king able to get a good look of just who had entered. Yes, the king immediately recognized him.

The crown-bearer watched as the man pressed his left hand into the right side of his chest. His head began to lower, but before it disappeared, the silver-haired king beheld his visage. His strongly-structured face appeared slightly younger than the king's, his pale skin basking in the light of the nearby sunfly lanterns.

His head lowered, revealing the top of his short, black hair. His attire was befitting of an elite guardsman who preferred motion over protection, its blackened, leather nature brightened by a dark teal blue capelet and sash along his waist. But that which gave away his identity most predominantly wasn't his face or his attire, but the beautiful katana sheathed along his waist.

"Lord Raphael, your evening dinner has been served," the humble, hazel-eyed man stated. "Lady Meliora awaits your arrival, my lord."

The silver-haired king, bastard son of Lord Divus Nomos Barn, Raphael Divus Barn smiled, looking back then at the humble, black guardsman behind him. "You know there's no need for you to act so formally towards me, Daevarro," Raphael told the dark-clothed guardsman. "Friends are equal to one another."

The one called Daevarro, the formerly dark-robed youth, turned to his king and shared in his joy. His face lifted with a smile, raising himself from his humble stance. "My apologies," Daevarro happily expressed. "You're right, of course."

"What about Avita? Did you do as I asked?"

"Of course, my lord. I asked Mirabelle to put her to sleep, just like you requested."

"Good," Raphael said with a nod of his head, then beginning to step away from this window of fate. "I suppose I'd best hurry then. I'd rather not keep Meliora waiting any longer than I have to."

"Indeed. I'm certain she would keep waiting for you, even if her meal goes stone-cold," the older dark-armoured Daevarro commented with a gentle smile, pushing out a truth that Raphael especially knew of his wife.

With haste, Raphael began walking off away from that window. And as he drew closer to Daevarro, he would reply, "That's exactly why I shouldn't keep her waiting." Daevarro acknowledged the exact truth of his king's response, watching him step right past him. Yet the moment Raphael did so, Daevarro's smile dropped. His eyes became like sharp daggers, glaring at Lamia as she followed behind Raphael.

With Raphael's triumph over the usurper king Balor, a massive wave of change had crashed over Governanti, its culture, its society, its very nature. It was a much different Governanti than the one the former silver-haired rebel fought against. Yet with the now silver-haired king's sights set upon Alverra and its cruel, profane nature, the old nature of his city had begun to rise from the ashes.

Yes, unsettling winds had begun to blow within Governanti. Winds which fanned the flames of an uprising...

The End of Fall From Grace

W-wow... It's...it's done. It's been completed. Wow.

Well, six years have passed since I started working on this. And boy, it feels like just yesterday when I pushed this thread out. Pretty crazy how it's been that long since the start. Although to say that I'm finished isn't inherently true, since I'm working on a revision on Wattpad between now and when I start working on Part 2.

Anyway, I just want to thank everyone who actually read this, and especially those who waited around for me to post it. I appreciate you all so very much.

But for now, see ya around!

Hello, this is Azigarath, using a different account for now. After I start and finish moving to the next city, I will continue reading the story. So ya, I have not forgotten about the story, I just did not want to post anything, as it would get in the way. I will probably end up making a thread to post my readings and final thoughts of the last fifteen or so chapters, as there simply isn't enough room in the thread left! So, I just need one more month or two, but hopefully, I can finish this story before the end of the year.

Hello Azi, nice to see you again. How've things been for you? Don't worry about rushing to read it, by the way. Just get to it whenever you've got literally nothing better to do.

Thank you, Delta. And it came pretty close to capping out! Fortunately the Epilogue didn't turn out nearly as long as I expected, so it's all good.

Anyway, thanks to the both of you for sticking around and for reading. I appreciate it!

I'm doing good, getting excited to move to Prince George, seems like it'll happen. Most paperwork is done, just a little more, then we can officially move. It'll be nice to start a new life, as there is nothing for me in Quesnel. I've ben trying to get a full-time job in Quesnel for seven years, it never worked, so it's time to move. No reason to stay is the best reason to move.

Anyways, I think it's time for you to finish the thread, you can still bump it with the bump button. I would also suggest gradually uploading the story to FanFiction, as the RuneScape fanfic community there is a thousand times bigger than here.
