"I shall seek your mind for traces of the void corruption, then," Animus replied, tilting his head to the side. "It shall not take me long, although it would be best if I did so after you return to your body. Your current state would make it difficult to scour the trails of your mind properly, as it is spread between your manifestation here and your body outside of Umbra. It would be best if I did so after you wake."
"I have most likely been here far longer than your kind has even existed," Umbra chuckled, closing his eyes. "Waiting is nothing to me. I doubt a body would be particularly difficult, considering your previous achievements in such construction. The primary difficulty would likely be finding a way to integrate my gem in a manner that would allow me to utilize the body. Which is something I know little of. It may require the aid of another of my kind to accomplish."
The ancient sat up slightly, opening his eyes. "Are you ready to return to your body?"
"Be thankful it is a magical plague, then, for it could decimate your people if otherwise," the mage grumbled, complying with escort. Not entirely willing, it seemed, but he wasn't foolish enough to resist. "Magical diseases die off when starved of magic, which this land clearly lacks. I would advise avoiding the affliction while it lasts if somebody must die of it. It will spread easier than influenza."
((Apologies for my absence. Classes have me exceedingly busy at the moment.))
