((I'd say that it is possible, but only if he is not aware of some of his details.. I haven't revealed this in the thread yet, but the emperor leads a society that despises magic and sees it as pure evil. So with that in mind, he would probably view your kind as demonic beings that deserve only the most painful death imaginable if he found out about your society. If he didn't know that, then he may view Rhen as being slightly better then other humanoids like Elves or Dwarfs, but still as being inferior to humanity.))

Rhen's mood was beginning to darken. Whether it was just him getting ruffled on the topic of the conversation between him and Matt, if it was an overdue side effect of the Void's effects on Rhen's mind, or just the depressing enviroment around them could not be determined. Either way, it was obvious that Rhen's mood wasn't as it should be.

The dominent country of the world, and the country I have spent most of my life in is called the Imperium. Well, that's what everyone calls it. It's technically called 'The most Rightious Imperium of Humanity', but that's too much of a mouthful for most. Anyway, we are taught that total devotion to the Emperor and to the nation is all that matters. Living a life of devotion to the nation is all that most want to be remembered for. Personally, I don't know what I want to be remembered for now since I previously just wanted to be known as a man who spent his life fighting the enemies of humanity. Well, now my best friend is one of those enemies, so I don't know what to want to live for anymore. Maybe that is why I think that how you view yourself is wrong. What is so bad about being a thinker after all? Surely being known as a scholor is not such a bad thing is it?" Matt asked.

At first, only one howl was audible from the depths of the city. Shortly after, however, the united shrieks began to echo through the halls, coming in every direction.

The woman picked herself in shock; her feet trembling from the sheer sound of the echoes. She turned all around, trying to find the source of the echoes, but she quickly realized that the shrieks were coming from seemingly all directions. That is when a bad feeling emerged from inside her.

~What spooked the one that started the calls?~ she asked herself. Steadily, but hastily, the girl searched under her cloak, before producing a thin, slender blade from underneath. She had a gut feeling that she might have to make use of it.

Looking all around, it was decided that the best option to escape the ruins would be to take one of the larger, main hallways, instead of the taking the smaller pathways. She started to distance herself from the room, running at a quick pace while keeping her body low, to avoid possible detection by any of the locals of the ruined city.

((More than a month has passed since you last saw my face here, but I have not abandoned you. Rather, I am extremely busy and left mentally exhausted during the few periods of leisure time I can find. My creativity wanes along with my stamina; with the span of time I need to write a post, I can rarely last the hours it takes me.

I hope I may change this soon.))

"From what you have said, it's like you want to be known as some sort of great warrior who leads armies to glory or perhaps as the ruler of a powerful Empire. I understand why you want that. Just about everyone wishes that at some point. If you would like, I can show you how to fire a gun and give you a bit of tactical advice, but I don't know what else I can offer you outside of that. Maybe just one bit of advice. If you do desire power and manage to obtain it, then be careful with how you react to it. You are a good man, but even better then you have gone bad because they obtained power and became enthralled by it."

It would be something more I can add to the vast wealth of knowledge at my disposal and it would be practical unlike the other bits I have stored away. You've been an exile your entire life. Of course you are going to want for people to recognize you and respect you! Personally, i'd say you are entitled to a bit of respect after all you have endured in your life. Either way, i'd be more then happy to teach you a little bit of firearms and tactical knowledge. Who know? You may have a gift for it. If you get the hang of it, then maybe I can set you up with something back in civilization so you have a way of defending yourself here. And Rhen, maybe in return, you can share a little bit of the knowledge you have accumulated. I know how to fight, but I don't understand many other things and I would like to learn." Matt said.
