"Nope, I literally cannot remember anything until after whomever is controlling me lets me go. I may say things on my own, but I will not be able to remember them in the slightest. I could kill everyone here and wake up without knowing it. I'd probably figure that I did it in one of those trances, or perhaps I would assume that we were attacked and I had amnesia so I forgot about it. I would assume that something like this could happen in the ruins." Matt said.
"Huh, who was that?" Matt asked, having seen the skeleton in the other chamber. "He was massive, whomever he was. And look at the pile of bones in front of him. I would almost suggest that the smaller dragons died defending this larger dragon. Or perhaps they were fighting and they all died from their wounds. Either way, do you know who the big dragon was?"

"That's... A bit unsettling, to be honest," Caelidorus replied. "But if it can happen in the ruins... well, can you remember when these blackouts have occurred? Maybe if there's something similar between all of the times we might be able to tell what's causing them. Besides the Seekers, of course. If it's only related to the humans, I'd think you'd be safe from whatever ancient artifacts exist in the ruins."
Forlirn grew silent, staring at the bones for a long while. Eventually, he sighed, slowly shaking his head. "That could only be Rhelan, the elder among us. No other dragon had such a size as he... nor an age, for he was old to the point that I don't think he even know how old he was. As for the pile of small bones... those are hatchlings. I take it he died trying to protect them..."

"Hmm... I cannot remember any specific patterns for when they occured. The closest thing I can think of that resembles a pattern is that I was usually walking when the occured. I was lying in bed one time, but outside of that, I was usually at least standing up. I can't tell you if it is only related to humans though. Maybe they have done it to dragons as well and I have yet to run into one that was a victim of this. Hell, when you think about it, they could use it to start a war by having one of these dragons attack a village in their tranced state. Humanity would declare war in revenge and then the cycle begins again."
"Wow, he was quite massive. He must have been fifteen hundred years old at the minimum. Was he the one responsible for having you exiled?" Matt asked "I am afraid that I am not an expert in the way your clans work."

"I would like that Matt. Any information weather if it is relevant or not might aide in my search once this business with the seekers if done with. If you could work it our then I would be of great help. But there is one fissure in you idea.......I don't know if by the time all this is over that I will look even remotely human. Based on what I could determine about my infection is that when exposed to the magics that naturally flow on Elune, it seems to react and feed all while spreading. I do not know how far it will spread but there is the slight chance that I will resemble more a being of the void than a human. But all the same I would appreciate the help." said Rhen.
"Amazing.......a dragon of that size would most likely have to eat large quantities of food in order to keep functioning and have the strength to fight. That is unless he found a way to supplement his diet to consume less but retain strength." muttered Rhen as he made a quick sketch of the skeletal remains and arranged them in to where they would give a picture of what the dragon might have looked like when alive.

"It would be my pleasure Rhen. I can give you the ability to find out about any clan or dragon sighting in Neuva. There is also some info on Elune, but obviously there is not as much. Hell, you may even be able to find some of my old reports of dragon clans I helped wipe out. My point basically is that any dragon clan that has existed over the past three hundred years is catalogued in our library. As for your condition, I would expect it would not be a serious problem if we do not spend much time in Elune. Right now you just have to keep your arm covered in order to remain incognito. If it should become more severe in nature, then I can probably arrange for copies of the records to be made. So I think I can get you this info one way or another." Matt said.

"I appreciate the gesture Matt. Either way......whether I remain in my current state and keep hiding my arm or if my body is consumed by this growing infection....I think I will still need copies of the records so I can do research while searching. That way I don't have to travel all the way back to your archives just to get more information. I would save me some time on my search I think. Perhaps after we defeat the seekers I can come up with a remote access device that will allow me to access the archives anywhere. But that is a thought for the future. Right now we need to get to the ruins." said Rhen as he scratched his chin.

"Hmm... I don't know how you would go about creating some sort of remote access device. The government archives of any country can be very hard to get access to, so I don't know if you would be able to get around the security. Well, no matter Rhen, we need to get to these ruins and survive whatever is within them before we can do any of that. In the unlikely event that both of us survive, we can begin to worry about getting you into those archives." Matt said.

"Agreed. We take care of ridding the worlds of this evil first then we can worry about getting the information. But on a side note......I bet I could find someway to gain remote access. After all I did create artificial limbs from scraps of electronics and scrap metal that was just laying around. I will admit that it might present a great challenge but I bet in time I could make it work. After all I have forever to create such a device after all." said Rhen with a grin to go along with his last statement.

"Heh, I may be a betting man, but i'm not foolish enough to bet against that. You've got the brawn, the brains, and the time to do that. I mean, you were able to figure out how to make limbs that work in both this world and the other. I think you can manage to figure out how to get into government archives. Of course, I don't know how pleased the law will be when they find out that someone has broken into their archives. I would wager that you would see national investigations, people losing their jobs and so on. It would probably be better to do things the legal way." Matt said.

"It may be a good idea to keep an eye on you in the ruins, then," Caelidorus replied, frowning slightly. "It's possible that they control others with some sort of artifact, since I don't think there's a non-magical way to do that. There could be another in the ruins... which might not turn out well even if there's nobody to control you with it..."
"He was not directly involved," Forlirn said with a heavy sigh. "While he was respected for his wisdom, he was not considered the leader and ended up taking a sideline role in that. However, he could easily have prevented it. The others would have listened to him..."
It was difficult to tell the exact size of the dragon, but he was clearly quite large in life. Judging by the bones, he had likely been larger than the largest member of the Soulbound, not including Soul. Considering how large Forlirn was compared to his age, it was not inconceivable that the dragon was thousands of years old when he died.
((D'oh, I forgot to actually submit my previous post before closing my internet for the night.))
