"I don't know what to tell you then Rhen. I guess if you have no other choice, you'll have to either endure the cold or go insane. Being cold is better then losing your mind if you ask me. As for making someone immortal, isn't there a way you can keep them in their current stare, As in, stop them from aging at all? If the person was willing to do that, then there would be no problem there. I agree that perhaps joining an ancient that lives somewhere warmer is probably best, but isn't there a possibility that they are all hidden or want nothing to do with others? Either way, you should definetly still keep the soulbound in mind." Matt said.

"Just because I've spent the vast majority of my life alone doesn't mean I enjoy it," Forlirn said, frowning lightly. "If a man has lived with a disease his entire life because he couldn't do anything about it, does that mean he'd prefer to live with it for the rest of his life? I have not lived in solitude out of desire, merely fact."
"I heard of an instance when you encountered one of their agents on the way to that safehouse of yours," Forlirn replied. "From what Caelidorus told me, his words caused you to draw your weapon without you willing to do so. When Caelidorus killed him, you returned to normal."
"There are some dragons that are naturally immortal in the same sense as you," Forlirn said, glancing over to Rhen. "They're difficult to find... but you may be able to benefit if you can make a companion out of one."

"Well you certainly don't give off the impression that you desire company." Matt replied. "Had you asked me, I would have said that you gave off a distinctly anti-social attitude. If you want company, you should really consider changing your attitude towards others. If you make people think that you want nothing to do with them, then they will respond in kind."
"Ah yes, I know what you are talking about now. I can't go into if the details are accurate or not because for me the time passes in literally the blink of an eye. One minute I could be walking down a street and within what seems like a milli-second, I would be lying in a random building with a gun in my hand and someones body at the other side of the room. I have no idea why that happens or how that is even possible." Matt said.

"Seeing as I have eternity in my hands I guess I will try and seek these fellow immortals out. Seeing as they will be hard to find I only hope I do not lose my sanity before I find them. But all the same it would be interesting to find these dragons and live amoung them. If I do I hope to learn much about dragons and dragon culture from them if I can. I have already learned much about dragons from you Forlirn and I hope to learn even more as I have always been fascinated by dragons. After all this mess if over I will have to begin researching these immortal dragons and begin the long search. But as I said I have all the time in the world to seek these dragons out." said Rhen.

"Much easier said than done," Forlirn said with a light snort. "I've been the way I am longer than you've had to walk the worlds. That's quite a long time for me to simply change the way I act or see things. Hmph, I'll simply wait until I find those that will tolerate me for who I am, for I have no intention of changing."
"I can't tell you why that happens, but it's clear there are moments where you are not in control of your own actions," Forlirn said, his tone serious. "And if you are not in full control of yourself, then knowing the Name is far more dangerous than you may be able to fathom. Where you to know it, there's a chance that the next millisecond blank out you have will end with you in whatever place is beyond these worlds."
"It will likely take much time to both find and gain their trust," Forlirn answered, frowning in thought. "Though if your time is limitless, that should mean little as long as you reach your goal. I can tell you that the old ones tend to be solitary... and that you would be better seeking the old rather than the young. They are rare for a reason, as most young do not gain the wisdom to survive to the immortality that they can achieve."

"As long as they don't try and eat me when we first meet I think I can gain their trust. True it will still take time but it will be much easier if they don't want to eat me. But I think that once they see that I am harmless and more of a scholar rather than a fighter I think they will welcome me. But if that doesn't work I will do what I can with my knowledge to earn their trust. But first things first..........I cannot look for these beings yet as our enemy is still lurking about. Once he is dealt with I can begin my search and we can all move on with our lives and so can the worlds." said Rhen.

"Well I wouldn't be expecting much then. People tend to ignore you if you act like you want nothing to do with them. You don't have to change your ways completely, but it would help if you at least showed an interest in talking with others. Hell, if I didn't know better, I would have thought of you as senile. I know that's not the case, but without meeting you, others may not realize this." Matt said.
"A valid point Forlirn. Say Caelidorus, when this thing came over me, whatever the hell it was, did you notice if this agent was able to control what I said?" Matt asked "Words can prove to be just as dangerous as a sword after all."
"Either way, time is wasting. We had best prepare for our journey to the ruins. I doubt that Nrilgroth, or whatever awaits us there, will stall his plans for our sake." Matt said as he climbed onto Caelidorus's back.

"The initial contact will likely be the most difficult," Forlirn replied. "Few dragons that live for that long are trusting of others. If they think you want to kill them, they'll kill you first without question. Best proceed with the utmost caution."
"I don't know if he was able to control you directly... If I remember right, you seemed to be able to speak somewhat normally, but couldn't control your body," Caelidorus answered. "It was as if your mind was removed from your body and replaced with something else..."
Caelidorus blinked lightly, then continued following Forlirn. Forlirn snorted gently. "We're near the proper exit. Judging by the sound, the wind will be kicking up snow... But I do not think it is still a blizzard out there."

"That is strange. By speak somewhat normally, do you mean that you think it was actually me speaking or perhaps someone else altogether?" Matt asked. "If it was me speaking, then I literally have no recollection of anything that I said. I guess it would probably be sort of like those rage spells you go into. One minute you are normal, but angry. Then the next you are lying somewhere having killed a bunch of people. The difference is that you are not controlled by anyone while I am under someone elses influence."
"That's good. It should make our trip to the ruins much smoother. Hopefully the ruins are not buried under mounds of snow or anything like that." Matt said.
"Say Rhen, I think I can help you find out where these immortal dragons live. When we are finished with this business here, I can take you back to one of the cities here in Neuva. The national libraries usually have records on all known dragon clans or places where drgons tend to frequent. You can use that as a starting point for finding out more. If you would like, you can also make this an oppertunity to gather knowledge by visiting some of our museums. I have a few friends in higher places so I can probably arrange for you to gain unrestricted access to a few records that normally would be hard to see." Matt said.

"I... I'm not entirely sure," Caelidorus admitted, tilting his head slightly. "It was quite awhile ago... and I recall something about you saying you couldn't control yourself... but it seemed as if you were fighting just to control what you were saying. It was... odd, to say the least. Though I did not realize you could not remember it. I was always under the impression that you did."
"I doubt they will be. The entrance is angled in a way that causes the snow to normally blow in a different direction..." Forlirn said, idly glancing over to a side passage before abruptly stopping. The passage seemed to lead to a small (compared to the rest of the citadel, that was) chamber. Inside was the bones of a massive dragon, laying in front of a large pile of smaller bones. "...It... it shouldn't... be a problem..."
((Just as a heads up, I'll be out of town all next week. I'll likely not have an internet connection during that time.))
