<I'll let my lightning tear through them. The hounds are dangerous to anybody on the ground; we'll need to take them out if anybody stays on the ground. The archers are a bit spaced out for me to do much damage, but I might be able to blast apart the swarm of flying creatures****;
Forlirn quickly stared about before fixating on the closer of the two temple-like structures, letting out a low growl. "Run for the temple! Don't bother trying to kill them, we've no chance of surviving in the open like this! Get to cover first!"
"Try what you can!" Frilarth exclaimed. "Only one way to know! Just don't lose everything trying!"
"I don't believe you understand the full implications of what you wager," the voice replied in the same tone, though it had a faint, sadistic undertone to it. "You see, we corporations have an unofficial coalition of sorts and this particular corporation possesses a great deal of sway. You're old enough to recall the invention of the dragon-hunter bullet, correct? Ah, what a marvelous invention that was. Conventional bullets were never particularly effective against dragons, but now we had something that could kill dragons as easily as bullets could kill humans. Have you ever questioned where that bullet came from? It's the creation of the leading arms company, developed with us based upon our research on dragon hide. In fact, nearly everything that company has developed is based upon our research. Were I to inform them you plan a direct attack against us, they would be most unhappy. Why, you'd likely suddenly experience an inexplicable shortage of weaponry and ammunition for your extermination. Of course, you would still have second-rate arms at your behest, but what use would they be when you find the dragons organized into an army equipped with body armor not even the state-of-the-art dragon bullets can pierce efficiently? Of course, the implications of your proposed action range much further than that, but you do seem found of wars you can't win."
