<Well, then we have the debate of what counts as proof and what will be perceived as a hoax. I'd expect the latter to be common, since I'd expect the Seekers to produce various "experts" claiming such, and perhaps even stage a "professional" expedition to the north. As for Forlirn... well, rumors of there being dragons living in this unlivable place might dissuade many would-be explorers.>
"Dragons can craft great structures when inclined to do so, and when we do not have to fight constantly," Forlirn said, setting his head down on his forepaws. "And considering we lives for many of your generations when at peace, I hardly find it surprising. What takes a human half a lifetime to master takes a dragon but a small part, meaning we have that much more time to use whatever we've mastered. How you'd be welcomed... I'm unsure. I'd think Vhalskrug would be a bit hostile, but Rhelan would have likely been welcoming... However, it's probably best to continue this conversation tomorrow. For now, it is likely best that we sleep..."

Matt was walking down the ruins of a city street. Winter was near and he knew that he needed to find shelter if he was to survive it. He carried with him a bag filled with meat and a bottle of water. He also had a rifle that he used to hunt the occasional deer that would wander into the city.
He considered travelling to the other world to look for a shelter there. "What did they call it again?" He muttered out loud. He found it hard to remember such trivial details like the name of the other world. Even his age slipped his mind. He assumed he was still in his thirties, but it was hard to tell.
He neared what had been an army checkpoint deep in the city. He vaguely remembered armed soldiers trying to stop the refugees from others cities from overwhelming this one. As he passed the burnt out shell of a tank, he heard the click of a pistol from behind him. "Drop the bag!" A male voice yelled. Matt turned around and raised his rifle, pointing it at the mans head. "I don't want to kill you." Matt began "but I will shoot you if you try anything."
Both men were silent for what seemed like ages, figuring out how to break the stand-off without getting shot in the process. Suddenly a woman ran by. Without so much as slowing down, she screamed "They're coming!" Both Matt and the other man began running with the woman, their previous conflict forgotten. Screaming could be heard the distance as more people became aware of Their presence. As They came closer, Matt attempted to run even faster then he had before. Before he had been running for even a minute, one of Them had already managed to envelop him. A terrible pain shot through all of his body.
Just as he was about to embrace death, Matt awoke from the dream with a start. He looked around to make sure that what he had seen was in fact just a dream. He sighed, knowing that it was over. What he did not know was that he had accidently telepathically shared that dream with Forlirn.

The room was still as spacious as it had been earlier, though it was now occupied by Frilarth, Frilarn, and Caelidorus, all of whom seemed to be sleeping. Forlirn was where he had gone to sleep, but he was no longer sleeping. Rather, he was quietly laying, silently eying Matthew as he processed what had just happened.
High in the mountains of Elune, Thlorian stood atop a high cliff, staring out over a large, flat section of land in the midst of the otherwise mountainous land. Before the half-dragon was an enormous, intricate circle, likely the sort used for magical purposes. The circle was several miles in circumference, filling the entire land below, and had been composed with exceptional care, for every square inch of intricate the circle had been inscribed with meticulous attention to detail. All in all, it was quite a sight, likely visible from quite high in the sky.
"And so the task is complete," Thlorian spoke, seemingly to himself as he gazed in the direction of the rising sun. "Completed on the Eve of the Dark Star. Tonight, the bond shall break."

Matt sighed once again and looked around the chamber once again. Eventually he met Forlirn's glance. "Can't sleep either eh?" He said, smiling weakly. "I had one of those damn dreams that seem to be real when you are dreaming. I had nearly killed a man. Had a rifle pointed straight at his head. All because he wanted my bag of meat. Then the true ones came. God I hope that it does not come true like some of the other dreams..."
He laid his head back against Caelidorus's belly and shut his eyes, though he did not actually sleep. He began to mutter a prayer for safety as his thoughts drifted to the exploration of the ruins. He felted dread whenever he thought of the place.

"It certainly was quite a dream..." Forlirn remarked, more to himself than to Matthew. "Though it's probably not prophetic... More likely some sort of reaction to your current level of involvement with the True Ones. Certainly would be better to view it as such... least for your mental health. Because if it is true... well, nothing can really be done in that case."
Caelidorus mumbled softly and shifted position, setting his head down on Matt in his sleep. He seemed to be sleeping rather soundly, though there was a noticeable frown on his green muzzle.

"Huh? You had the same dream as well? That's weird. I've never heard of that before. In that case, maybe you are right. The True Ones may be interfering with our sleep patterns in some way. I doubt it is some sort of prophacy as well. The only reason I mentioned it is because there have been times in the past where i've dreamed about something only to see it happen in the future. It isn't very common though. We're talking about a once in a blue moon sort of thing. But the fact that we seem to have the same dream bothers me. I've NEVER heard of that happening before." Matt said.
Matt opened his eyes and patted Caelidorus's head slowly. He noticed the frown on his muzzle and quickly decided that he would ask Caelidorus what was bothering him when he woke up. For all Matt knew, he could be having the same dream that Forlirn and himself had.

Once morning came, Rhen had packed up his journals and samples and headed down to where the others had went the previous night to sleep. The side of his coat that would have his mechanical arm hung limp and trailed behind Rhen as he walked. And Due to the fact that his arm that had been infected seemed unaffected by the harsh cold in the north, Rhen had cut the sleeve off to allow for more movement. The black, jagged, obsidian like shards that coated his flesh shown freely now.
"Am I interrupting anything? I thought I would come check on all of you since morning is now upon us." said Rhen as he entered the chamber where Forlirn and the others were laying.

Matt opened his eyes and looked at Rhen. "Don't worry about it. I don't think your interrupting anything. Forlirn and I were just talking. It seems that the two of us had the same dream last night. Other then that, I am just reflecting on the past few weeks. There is a good chance we will soon meet our death in these ruins." Matt said. "Would you believe Rhen, that when I first met you, I absolutely despised you? I don't know why I thought that way, now that I look back on it. You are a good man Rhen. You told me once that you wanted to get a family. Well, I hope that you find what you are looking for, and that you have a long and happy life. I don't know why i'm saying all this. I guess I just want to get this off my chest in case one of us dies or something."

Forlirn closed his eyes, holding his head as if dealing with thoughts that held a great amount of gravity to them. After a few long moments, he opened his eyes and slowly gazed about the chamber.
"...What we find in those ruins will likely test us like nothing before. We shall face things that shouldn't be... things that shall tear at our minds with their very unexistence. If we are to survive with our minds intact, it will take every ounce of our wills. No matter what happens, do not give in. Do not forget why we came, and do not let your doubts consume you. For it will be your will that keeps you alive."
Caelidorus soon opened his eyes, yawning widely before quickly glancing around. There was still a frown on his muzzle after he awoke, a decidedly troubled frown.

Matt nodded after Forlirn spoke. "That shouldn't be too much of a problem. I have an indomitable will, if you haven't noticed. I'm more then willing to die if I need to. Death is of trivial concern to me at this point. And Forlirn... we haven't seen eye to eye on a lot of things" Matt began. "But I just want you to know that it has still been a great honour travelling with you. I hope that if you come out of this mess alive, you are able to find inner peace. You deserve it."
Matt then looked at Caelidorus as he woke up. Hey continued petting him in the hopes that this would somehow cheer him up. "Good morning Caelidorus." Matt said. "Are you feeling ok? It looks like something is bothering you. I think you should try and get whatever it is off of your mind for when we enter the ruins."
