"If I were not outcast I would take you to me people's city. I am sure one of them could help you. If not one of them then, maybe the knowledge crystal has the information that you seek. But as I said.......I am an outcast and they will never let me back into the city much-less bring visitors in with me." said Rhen.

"Thanks for the offer Rhen. Even if you were able to enter the city, I doubt I would go as I doubt I would be viewed as little more then a threat to your people and your culture. Even if they did let me into your city, I highly doubt they would let me go anywhere near this crystal of yours. It seems like the most important thing to a Watcher,so I doubt they would ever let an outsider see it for themselves." Matt replied.

"My people would go as far as calling you a threat. I am no longer like this but, the rest of my race looks at humans as uneducated barbarians. And with our advances in magic, well lets just say that a single human would be more as a speck than a threat to us. But you are right on one thing. They wouldn't let you near the crystal. For it is the object which our life and culture revolve around and just no oone can approach it." said Rhen.

"Well then i'd say it is probably good that I can't enter your city. I don't think I would react well to your people calling me an uneducated barbarian. There would probably be a rather intense argument. I can't say I blame them for not letting me near the crystal. If it is as important as you say it is then I would only let a few important people go near it. How does this crystal work anyway? I mean, if you wanted to view some of the knowledge that the crystal contained, then how would you go about obtaining it?" Matt asked.

Name: Aurica
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Race: Wolf-Kin
Appearance;
Dragon: Her draconian form has black scales with skin that is luminescent red splashed with green. her wings are armored and look like a cross between a butterfly's wing and a bat's wing, it's upper surface is covered in the same scales that cover the rest of her body, on her head are four horns, all of them point back and are like crystal, the color of the crystal is the same as her skin, her eyes are slit pupils like most dragons and are navy-blue in color.
Wolf-Kin: Like all Wolf-Kin Aurica basically looks like a wolf that has learned to stand upright and acquired opposable thumbs, her fur how ever is midnight black in color with designs in it, these designs ripple with waves of green and red.
Magic: Aurica is unable to use magic intentionally but she does have two abilities: upon being hit by almost any magical attack she has the chance of absorbing the attack and sending it right back at who ever cast it, attacks with an area of effect are immune to this ability, only direct attacks have this chance, the other
Personality: Aurica is a being of few words, she also is cold to those she feels aren't completely trustworthy, which unfortunately seems to be EVERYONE
History: Aurica is from the far north of the world of technology,(I forgot the name) she was cast out of her clan when her parents were killed in a avalanche, her people believe that if one is the only survivor of an event you are tainted and must be made outcast to save the others from your taint.
Weaponry: As a Wolf-Kin she carries a sword that has a split between it's edges, the sword it's self is made out of steel, but the edge is coated in obsidian, making it quite deadly, other than her sword, Aurica carries a dagger that is made of the best steel that can be forged. as a dragon, claws just claws
Type: Generic
Other: Aurica's dragon form is inaccessible to her except in cases of extreme need.

<Eh, I'd hardly have any reason. Humans clearly have the upper hand here. It would be pointless to leave a place where we're devastatingly powerful so we can come die by your guns and whatnot.>
"You never know..." Caelidorus said quietly. "Our enemies seem to be more knowledgeable than the common man... not to mention quite crafty..."
<I suppose so... though even just a cave or something like that would be enough. It would be warmer in some sort of shelter than in a snowstorm, and even just that small amount of warmth would do wonders...>
((Your bio is nearly acceptable. All I need is for you to add sizes (i.e., height) to both of her forms and your bio will be fine.))

"I will say one thing Matt. If you did managed to comehow get into the city, and began to argue about you being educated, you will have a fight like you have never seen on your hands. Not a physical fight but a mental one in which your knowledge will be tested and critisized." said Rhen. "But back to your question. To access the knowledge stored within the crystal, you must make an incision on your flesh that will draw blood. The amout of time you want to spend browsing the knowledge depends of how much blood you are willing to use. Anyway, once you have made the incision you press it against the pedestal that is linked to the crystal and then the crystal itself will form a temporary bond with your mind that will act as transfurence between the crystal and your own mind so that you may copy the knowledge you find into your own mind. We do know know how, but there is a way that you can directly search the depths of the crystal for the knowledge you seek so you do not have to spend an eternity searching for the knowledge you want. My people did not build the crystal and we know not where it comes from. But what we do know it that it is special and all our race's technology by use of magic, has come from studying the crystal and every aspect of its structure and workings. We have even developed a way to create a miniature version of the crystal to act as a book of sorts. The smaller crystals are not perfect but they work. And we have even developed a system to which we can add the knowledge in the miniature crystals to the great crystal."

<I know that you don't have any reason to war with us, but even the most intelligent people have gone to war when they have no reason to and are at a clear disadvantage. So even though I doubt you want to war with us, i've still got to be careful.>
"I suppose time will tell then won't it? If we get to the ruins and find no one, then we will know that they have no intention of harming us. If we do find some of their friends then we will be thankful that we were on our guard. We'll just have to wait and see what comes." Matt replied.
<I doubt that there are many caves up here that are not buried under all of the snow. I'm not saying that there are none, but I doubt that they are very common. Besides a research station, the only place we may find heat is within the ruins. I don't know about you, but I think I would rather be cold then spend a night inside of them.>
"I would like to see your people try and argue against well proven scientific and historical facts. The only think I could plead total ignorance towards is magic. But why would a Neuvian need to study magic in the first place. As for your crystal, I must admit that it sounds quite amazing. You have no idea what type of crystal it is or if there is anything like it in the worlds? For that matter, do these miniture crystals that you carry around work in Neuva or is it just in Elune?" Matt asked.

<Pah, I think those persons you mention have a debatable level of intelligence to war under such circumstances. War is a true option for an aggressor only when the aggressor has a true reason to do so. To do so reasonlessly is costly and offers no benefits aside from those which may have not been seen. To do so when clearly at a disadvantage... hardly more than madness.>
"E*, you are right there," Caelidorus admitted. "Whether or not there will or will not be anybody isn't something we have control over, so all we can really do is be prepared. Worrying won't do much of anything."
<Hm... probably would be a bad idea to rest in a random cave, now that I think about it. That wyvern those humans mentioned might get the same idea... and I really do not want to be trapped in a cave with an adult wyvern blocking the exit in a place I cannot use my magic. I could kill it easily, but it could do the same to me.>
The wind seemed to be picking up, suggesting a storm was on its way. Whether or not it was a snowstorm was difficult to tell, as the wind picked up great clouds of snow from the ground, giving the illusion that it was already a blizzard.

<It is possible to be both mad and very intelligent at the same time. But I do agree with you. Still though, the fact that a war might not be a good thing has not stopped many people. Thus it is still something to be careful of. That's the reason why I asked in the first place.>
"Exactly, so lets just keep an eye out for anything suspicious while we make our way to the ruins. They may have people watching us if they intend to ambush us at some point, so keep an eye out for them." Matt said.
<Well we could travel to Elune and escape that way if that were to happen. If the caves are natural then they should be in Elune as well. Still though, I wouldn't want to be trapped in that situation to begin with, but it is an option.>
