<Ah. Well, it makes perfect sense. If either race fully united without the other doing the same, it could probably wipe out the one that didn't unite. Still, that would be unlikely. If one race unites enough to wipe the other, the other will probably unite before being destroyed. If they still fought... well, that would be a bloody war indeed...>
"I suppose you're right..." Caelidorus grumbled, eying the humans suspiciously. "Still doesn't mean I won't complain about it..."
"Why we're just here to resupply the base," the man replied, seeming friendly enough. "We just happened to notice you crossing and thought we'd give you a warning. See, a few days ago we spotted this this massive wyvern-"
"Massive is an understatement," one of the other men interrupted. "The brute is gargantuan. I'd reckon its at least two hundred feet tall, if not five hundred."
"Now you're being ridiculous," the first man said as he turned to the second, clearly annoyed. "There is no way in hell that the wyvern is five hundred feet tall."
"Maybe not," the second man answered before pointing to Forlirn. "But it's at least three times his size."
"I suppose that's about right..." the first man said in agreement before looking back to the group. "Anyway, we thought we'd warn you about it. Wyverns are more intelligent than lesser animals, but not quite as smart as intelligent dragons. They've got a reputation of being fiercer predators, and most are quite venomous. To top that off, they've got skulls thick and strong enough to stop a bullet from an average assault rifle when large enough, which this one definitely is. If you see it, I'd advise getting far away without being noticed, unless of course you feel like being torn apart and devoured. Shouldn't be hard to spot in the snow, but it will blend in perfectly with the grey stone and soil around here. Best keep your eyes peeled if you venture out of the snow."
