"I... don't know, to be honest," Forlirn said slightly, a frown appearing on his aged muzzle. "So I suppose it's possible for such a void to hide other information. However, for either of you to accidentally learn the Name... Well, just have me look, then. Seeing as I already know the Name, seeing it again can't really do any harm. Granted there's not something worse I could learn here..."

<I'm well aware of that, heheh. You can't escape me that easily, after all. But on a more serious note, have you spotted anything that merits concern? Two pairs of eyes are better than one, after all..****;

"What we're looking for I do not know," Forlirn replied, shaking his head softly. "What I know is I felt something when I last entered here... still do, for that matter. I haven't the faintest idea as to what it is... but I can tell it is within the heart of the ruined palace."

"We have to prepare for any eventualities Forlirn. That includes the possibility of one of us learning the name. What should I do with this information? Am I supposed to just live my life pretending that I do not know the name? We could potentially gain the knowledge that could kill millions. How are we supposed to live with that?" Matt said.

Matt scanned the nearby surroundings*****;Hmm... I... I don't know. I mean, I don't see anything. But that doesn't mean that there isn't anything. Do you know what I mean? I'm not really sure what I am looking for. How about you my friend? Have you seen anything of note?>

"The same way we deal with any forbidden knowledge Matt." said Rhen as he lifted his crystalline arm. "Live with it even if it might kill us. You can choose to keep it secret if you wish or you can unleash what may very well be certain doom upon the worlds. Btu it is your choice what you do with the knowledge you obtain. I for one in this situation choose to forget it if I can or keep it pushed into the furthest reaches of my mind. Such power and dark knowledge should not be used or held by one being no matter how good or bad the intentions may be. But like I said.....it is your choice what you do with the knowledge just make sure it is not only the wise choice but the right choice."

"So we don't know exactly what it is we are looking for. But we do know where it is at. The only question is what is it? I know we don't have the answer to the question but it is the only question I have on my mind. So shall we get a move on and find the answer to the question together?" said Rhen as he turned and looked to Forlirn.

"As Rhen has said, there is little that can be done with it save trying to forget or using it to destroy yourself," Forlirn replied, shaking his head softly. "Beyond that... well, there really is nothing but trying to live with it. In any event, we best continue onward. I feel as if we are near our destination."
Forlirn continued at his careful, steady pace, his gaze watchfully glancing about the ruined city. Just ahead, the palace-like structure loomed*

***;I see nothing out of the ordinary... as far as I can tell. Everything just looks like stone... And the shadows seem normal... Didn't Forlirn mention something about watching the shadows? Or am I imagining that?>

"I guess both of you are correct. It will not be easy, especially since I have no idea as to what secret I could be hiding. It's one thing to hear you say what this name does Forlirn, and another to actually experience it. I would try to forget this name should I encounter it. But from what Forlirn has told us, I expect that will be quite difficult, if not impossible to do so. Either way, I shall do what I can to protect the worlds and myself from the name. I only pray that I do not accidently say it at some point. Even if I survived, the guilt would be unbearable." Matt said.

Matt paused for a moment, deep in thought*****;Hmm... I truthfully don't remember. Perhaps he said it when I was out of it. In that case, I wouldn't remember. Even if it was after I returned to my senses... well I have been focused on you ever since then. I find it is keeping both of us stronger. So if Forlirn said anything, I might have missed it. And I would still be careful if I were you. This place defies all logic. Just because everything looks safe, it does not mean that it actually is. I know of no other place in either world that is as mysterious as this****;

"A secret can be a hard thing to keep. But in this case if one of us does happen to learn the name, we will have to do what we must to keep what might be the ultimate secret under wraps. But let us hope that it does not come down to that." Rhen said to Matt before looking to the palace-like structure that loomed in the distance.

"I would love to have meet the builders of this city. But I do not think that even in the first years of my exile that I could have visited this place. For all I know, the builders nd residents could have been long dead even before I was created. But to know how they built something like this would truly have been knowledge worth having." said Rhen as he admired the architecture of the ruined city and marveled in its resilience.

Forlirn nodded his head slightly, growing quiet to focus on his surroundings. The road leading to the palace seemed bare of further wreckage, thus meaning there would be no need to enter any more buildings to reach the destination. Shadows could often be seen flitting about in the darkness of the buildings and in alleys between them. Unearthly voices continued hissing subtly, still displeased by the intruders walking the city. Somehow, it seemed as if the city was slowly growing darker*

***;I know. I'm half expecting the flagstones of this road to come to life and try to stab me to death with a blunt object. I suppose we should just keep our eyes on everything. Seems like anything here could be potentially dangerous, and I'm not sure Forlirn knows all of the risks that are here. This place is massive, after all****;

"This place was deserted and destroyed when I first came well over five hundred years ago," Forlirn said quietly, keeping his gaze on the road ahead. "And it didn't bear the look of being abandoned recently. In fact, it hardly differs from what it looks like now. If that says anything about the rate of decay, then it has probably been here for a vast sum of time."

"Have these ruins be abandoned since before the times that your clan was formed, or are there reports of activity in the ruins before then?" Matt asked. "For that matter, what attracted your clans attention to these ruins in the middle of nowhere in the first place? This is out of the way after all."

<If anything wanted to try and stab you, they would have to get through me first. We are like brothers right? Brothers have to stick together. We have to watch each others back, especially when literally everything could be out to kill us. By the way Caelidorus... is it just me, or is it getting dark in here?>

"IF it was abandoned when you came here 500 years ago.......I guess the more important question about the ruins is, what happened to the people or beings that once in inhabited it? If those wraith's are what remain of the inhabitants then........what happened to them? If not the former residents then how do wraith's end up in a place like this?" said Rhen as he looked around some more.

~Abandoned for more than 500 years and who knows how much more......something isn't right about this place. As Matt said......who would build a city or this scale and craftsmanship this far underground and this far north? Aside from a secret cult of sorts I have no idea. But even that idea seems very unlikely. This just doesn't make since.~ thought Rhen as he tried to piece some things together about the ruins.

"I honestly do not know what the state of this place was when our clan came to be in these wastelands," Forlirn replied, almost seeming to shrug his shoulders. "Though the elder never spoke of it being inhabited by anything more than dark creatures of the Abyss. He did say that it was our duty to 'watch over it,' whatever that meant. I take it he believed we were meant to make certain nothing particularly nasty escaped, living or in the form of forbidden knowledge, likely because such actions would probably have been helpful to Nrilgroth... Which is a likely explanation for why we had Just what the ruin is or what may have made and inhabited it, I know no more than either of you. What I can tell is this place has some sort of link to the Abyss, which would offer some explanation for the wraiths. Of course, why there's a link is a mystery to me..."

Caelidorus blinked several times and slowly gazed around*****;...I... don't know. I can't tell if it is darker or not... though I expect my night-vision is sharper than yours. You'd probably be more sensitive to loss of light than me..****;
