<From what Forlirn has told us, I very much doubt that the ruins will be empty. I suppose it is a possibility, but it is a very small one. And if you think this is bad, just wait until we get to the ruins. My guess is that the weather there will make this seem like a pleasant but cloudy day. I forget, did we get you anything to help keep you warm? You probably ought to do what you can to keep warm now, before we get to the other continent.>
"I don't mean to sound rude, but how is it possible for an entire race to just up and forget that there are dragons the size of mountains out there that possess amazing abilities? It makes more sense for the people of Neuva to have never encountered them before." Matt replied. He turned his head to look at Caelidorus. As he did he noticed Rhen standing nearby. He made a motion to Rhen to let him know that he could approach if he desired to."But even if what you say is true, aren't you worried that when the ancients become known to civilization, it will lead to war? I doubt many people will object to destroying them."

Rhen saw Matt's motion and nodded in response but remained where he was standing. Rhen figured that whatever the conversation was about, it was none of his business and that it was juts* between Matt and Forlirn.
~Not that I am being impatient......but I wish they would hurry so we could make it to the ruins.~ thought Rhen.

<Erm, I think we had a few blankets, but that was all. My memory is sort of hazy as to what exactly we bought, but I can't remember anything else. Frilarth is the one with the supplies, right? I ought to snag a blanket from him...>
"You'd be surprised how quickly your race can forget the past," Forlirn replied absentmindedly. "A few centuries can cause something to be more of a legend than a piece of history, as I've learned from my own personal experience. But if you don't believe me, then go digging around in some old myths of forgotten origin. You'll find old tales mentioning ancients, at least indirectly. And why should I be worried? The ancients are older than we can even fathom. They're still alive now, and I'm quite sure they'll still be alive for a great deal longer."
There was a light pushing against Rhen's hand as Frilarn brought his head under it, his tail slowly swaying.

"What in the worlds?" said Rhen. "What are you doing Frilarn?"
~First my arm become physically tainted now Frilarn is trying to play with it. What's next? Frilarth's flaming Taco army?~ thought Rhen as he attempted to asses the situation.

<I think both Forlirn and Frilarth were carrying our supplies. Since i'm talking to Forlirn right now, Frilarth is your best bet. When you've got the blanket, let me know and i'll come over and give you a hand with putting it on. We need to make sure that your wings and tail are not covered after all.>
"Well I have read some ancient human carvings. We're talking about carvings made thousands of years ago. They do refer to some sort of god lizards. I always assumed that meant that the early humans worshipped dragons or something along those lines. But then again, I didn't know ancients existed at the time, so it's easy to see why I would make that assumption. Anyway, something has been bothering me since I came over here. It seems as though something is on your mind Forlirn. You seem to be very distracted today. You probably ought to get it off of your chest so you can be focused on the ruins." Matt said.
((Not to sound rude Narbloodwolf, but I think you may have misread Darlantans post. I think the light pushing against your hand was Frilarn gently pushing your hand and not an actual light!))

((My apologies, I was too asleep when I made my last post to realize that it was unclear. What I meant by the way I phrased my post was something along the lines of "Frilarn lightly pushed his head under Rhen's hand." Sorry for causing confusion.))
<Alright, I'll go see Frilarth about that.>
Caelidorus slowly stood up, taking a few moments to stretch, before walking over to Frilarth, somewhat wary of getting caught in the dragon's eccentric babbling.
"I suppose you could say I'm feeling bitterly nostalgic," Forlirn replied, still looking into the distance. "Last time I came here was centuries ago... I was heavily wounded, enough so that I knew I wouldn't have the strength to cross the sea again, so I would have to deal with whatever I found in the strange land on the other side. I had thought I was leaving something behind... In truth, nothing really changed at all."

((I hope I didn't sound aggressive when I wrote my last post. I can see why you viewed Darlantans post the way you did. It was written in such a way that two people could look at it and come to two different conclusions. Anyway, back to Rping I suppose!))
<Don't forget to let me know when you've gotten the blanket so I can help you.>
"I'm assuming this was just after what had happened to your clan. As you said, in essance you were ending your old life in order to begin a new one. But what do you mean by nothing having changed? I mean, you literally had nothing when you came over to this land. I would have thought that your life would have changed without your clan. You've only really had your brothers back in your life for a very short time." Matt replied.

"What in the worlds?" said Rhen. "What are you doing Frilarn? What are you trying to tell me this time? This would be so much easier if you could speak and just tell me."

<I will... Shouldn't take too long...>
"I spent decades in exile before my clan was slain," Forlirn replied quietly. "I was forced to survive on my own without the help of any of my clan, my brothers included. I was essentially alone then, as the most interaction I ever received with others was a hateful glare from a passing clan member. Once I left, it was essentially the same, minus the glares from former family members. I've lived alone for centuries, with the majority of the interaction I've had been from humans trying to either kill or profit from me. Bah, I should have taken Soul's offer when I mentioned leaving... she told me that there was a pretty good chance that my life would play out as it has, but I, being young and naive, thought I knew better..."
Frilarn purred softly and licked at Rhen's hand, his tail flicking back and forth.

Rhen sighed as he gave up trying to figure things out. Slowly Rhen sat down next to Frilarn. Rhen slowly raised his hend and patted Frilarn on the head gently.
"You are a hard one to figure out Frilarn. Every time I get close to figuring you out, you suprise me by doing something else. If it wasn't for the fact that we both have some form of taint, then we could just join our minds and talk." said Rhen.
~We need to get moving. The ruins are calling us and we need to find what it is we are searching for. The sooner we get in and out of the ruins the sooner I can call Animus so he can allow me to enter Frilarn's mind so I can figure out what he is trying to tell me.~ thougth Rhen as he sat waiting for the group to leave.
