"Well, you should be alright then!" Frilarth exclaimed with a bit of joy. "Which is very good, since we only bought supplies for those already with us. I guess we didn't think we'd pick up somebody else along the way, which we probably should have. But since you're okay, it's not a problem, although you'll probably have a bit of trouble in the ruins, since you probably haven't run into the aura of the True Ones before."
"Our proteins are fashioned to retain functional shapes at the coldest of temperatures, allowing us to survive and giving our bodies no reason to feel discomfort in extreme cold," Forlirn replied. "However, they tend to denature at temperatures lower than most proteins denature at, which is why we have a natural aversion to heat."
<Well, we originally let no outsiders into the capital in the first place. Although it would seem to have been in place long enough for humans to think it a well established tradition, it is still somewhat new on our terms. But I suppose it may change...>
<That doesn't even make sense. Every reptile I've seen bleeds warm blood, even Forlirn. And if a dragon that is made to live in frozen wastes doesn't have cold blood, I don't think anything would.>
Frilarth flew near Caelidorus, handing Matthew a coat in midair.
"Here you go."
((I'm going to be very busy for the next few days, so I may not post as often.))
