The renga next needs someone to write a wa*i, of syllabic count 7-7, to continue it.
Just posting a haiku, "Evening Cherry Blossom", based on a painting by Hiroshige.

Twid,
Poetry is just as effective when the complete void of emotion. I have found that some poems can be incredibly successful when creating an atmosphere completely vacant of emotion.
In my opinion, poetry is the manipulation of emotion through words and meanings.

That is an interesting viewpoint. I understand where you're coming from, but in my opinion, lack of emotion is a emotion unto itself. You're creating the emotion of not caring, not trying.
The different viewpoints
Varying greatly in script
May truly be one.

Apathy is defined as the lack of emotion. This is not an emotion, ever. But it can be the central theme of a poem.

I agree, though, that poetry really is simply whatever you want it to be. It's hard to define, because the definition is different to each person at different times.

Browsing the forums was I, when I found thee:
A thread of what? Of Poetry!
I read and read, feeling the emotions course through me!
My thoughts in my head, as turbulent as the sea!
When I got to the end
My mind tried to mend
The lack of words, amen.
In quick haste I wrote
(Again, in haste, please note):
A poem to thee, thy friend
A play on words, to you I send.
To dance with a sword,
To skillfully pluck a cord;
To surge forth your emotions,
(Without the use of tonics and potions);
Can you not see?
This is true Poetry!
I find myself at the end of my tale,
Henceforth, I pass on the Grail.
Write strong, and let your words shine free
Of this world's illusion; its Misery.
Now, as a fair poet, I do write,
I bid you all a good night,
Now, as a fair poet, I do say to you,
Good night, I bid you adieu.

wow havent seen this much poetry in ages
only thing is im not to great at it wish i was better, ill have a go anyway
I thought id go out for a day of pking and fun
for now all my skilling was done
whipped out some d claws had a guy in the back
damn spec fail he gave me such a wack
i woke up back in lumbridge with an acking head
looking at where i was i could tell he killed me dead
i sought out revenge on the one who lost me millions
searching high and low checking all runescapes civilians
i never did find the one who me he did fell
but i *idnt really care i made back my money as *ast as hell
with all the methods and tricks now days
i made it back in all sorts of ways
but if i ever find the one who killed me
in danger his runescape life will be
but i probably shouldnt complain
because all my efforts would be in vain
if i tried to get my items back of that one
the items i have now would also be gone
lets face it im terrible at pvp
like i said not that great at poetry and theres no deep hidden message in their, just a strait foward poem to have a laugh and a joke about, they dont all have to be serious
