Once he reached the ground, he crept from tree to tree being careful not to be seen. Soon he was close enough to here what they were saying. "I tried to talk the dragonkin council to reveal themselves and become allies with the Empire, but unfortunately they did not listen." Morgan said.
" Yes, very unfortunate indeed, we could have helped you very much, and vice-versa of course." the soldier answered. "Now we have no choice but to eradicate this race."
"I will be spared because of my help correct?" Morgan asked.
"oh of course, the King will give you a prestigious place in our army"
Nate couldn't believe his ears. That Traitor!!! Suddenly, there was a noise from above, and seven dragons flew down form the sky.
"Troops, prepare for battle!!!" the soldier yelled, and At least 50 soldiers piled out of the ship. As the dragon descended from the cliffs, the Empiric archers unleashed a volley of arrows, and two of the dragons broke ranks, as they had been hit. It was then that Nate saw something that made his heart stop, one of the dragons were blue.
The other five dragons landed in front of the soldiers and transformed into three warriors, a magician, and Moon who strung her bow and prepared to fire.
"what are you doing Repter Morgan?" The magician asked. "They should not be here" he added glancing at the soldiers.
"You should have listened to me, all of you." Morgan exclaimed. " the Empire is to strong for you to fight, we MUST JOIN THEM!!...or we will die."
"you underestimate your own kind Morgan." the magician shot back. " we will not give in."
Morgan glared at him. "Fine, then you leave me no choice. KILL THEM!!!"

The soldiers charge at the dragonkin warriors. But the warriors were well trained, they held the soldiers off, easily, until Morgan came behind them and quickly cut them down one by one. the magician did his best to cover for the warriors absence by summoning a flaming wall to cut off the soldiers progress toward Moon, and him. Nate snuck behind the soldiers and Morgan and began to kill the soldiers in the back. Then he hopped over the wall of fire and ran to Moon. " we have to get out of here!" he said to her. "I know!" she said, and started to back away firing arrows as she went. But then water burst into the fire, putting it out and Morgan stepped forward. "Don't forget that I have magic too." once again the soldiers raced forward at the magician, but Morgan caught sight of Nate and Moon running away. He morphed into a dragon and caught up with them, then turned back and drew his sword. "Not so fast!" he yelled charging at them. Nate pulled his twin blades out of their sheaths and swung them at Morgan, they fought for a good minuted, the upperhand switching back and forth between them, but then Morgan conjured a fire ball with his free hand and shoved it into Nate, sending him flying backward onto the ground, but then a rain of five arrows flew into Morgan. Three of them bounced off of his armor, but the other two hit his arm. Morgan roared with pain and looked for the source, he saw Moon standing a couple yards away she had already pulled three more arrows out and was beginning to fire them. Morgan started toward her, but Nate jumped up and grabbed his arm, pulling him back. Morgan punched him, hard. Nate stumbled back and spat blood out of his mouth, his body felt like it was on fire, but he kept going , he swung his blades at Morgan, but he knocked them away, and sliced Nate's arm, Nate fell to the ground

Morgan lifted his sword to deliver the final blow. Nate looked up and knew his time had come. But as Morgan struck, blue hair flew out of no where. Moon had jumped in front of Nate to save him. She dropped to ground on top of Nate. Morgan pulled out his sword with a cold snick and walked away. Nate struggled to his feet and looked at Moon, she looked up at him and smiled,"It's time for me to go." she whispered. Nate looked back at her, but tears blurred his vision. "no no no your going to be okay!!!" he said. But Moon smiled and shook her head. "There is nothing you can do" " I... I love you Nate" and with that she breathed her last breath and closed her eyes.
