Chapter 9: Scars of the past.
As the group flew back to the Dragon isle treating their wounds and examining the plans, Tirent turned to Nate. "Hey, who was that? what made you so mad at him?" he asked.
Nate turned to him, Tirent could tell there was still some anger left. "Alright, I'll tell you." So Nate told him a long story, that started about a year ago...
Nate sprinted through the tall grass of the dragon isle fields that reached at least 7 feet, he looked to his left and saw the grass rippling as someone ran through them. He picked up his pace, racing across the fields, but so did the other person. Then he saw the opening and he thrust his last energy into the final sprint, the other also powered forward, Nate dove forward and land on the soft grass, then the second figure flew down and landed on top of him. It was Moon, he long blue hair flowing back from her head as she laughed, and her red eyes, twinkling with delight. They got up and took each others hand. "You got a head start" Moon said jokingly. " I would have beat you if you didn't cheat!"
"Me? cheat?" Nate laughed. Moon lead Nate to a cliff.
"what an amazing view" Nate said.
"isn't it?" Moon agreed. They sat awhile, enjoying the view, and being with each other. Then Nate looked down. "look at that!" he said. it was Repter Morgan, a dragonkin officer. He seemed to be talking to somebody, it was a Empiric soldier! The Empire wasn't supposed to know this place existed, let alone come here. Moon turned to Nate, "We have to tell Lord Draken!"
"yes we do!" Nate answered. "you go I'll keep an eye on him." Moon raced off and soon Nate saw a blue dragon fly into the distance. Morgan had now taken the soldier back to a ship filled with soldiers. It didn't add up, the Rocks and Cliffs caused it to e only accessible by air. Had Morgan teleported a whole entire ship full of soldiers?. Nate decided to get a closer look, so he climbed down the cliff, and got to the ground.
