Surprisingly not but I fancy myself very similar lol.
The character that I grant to myself is merely a bard, traveller; and sage observing the happenings around him and telling tales of what he has seen or heard about. For example,in my other story, The Ellimia, the main character has my actual name. That story is how my adventures began :)

Rose: Ima change the nephilim, a bit just to make them fit the idea of what I'm trying to set up. The idea will still be yours tho. Also, should I change the name from Nephilim to Nourum like your name? from what I got out of your sig its sounds pretty similar. idk I'll write this up and if you don't think its a good idea I'll just edit it out.

Chapter 14: All things aren't as they seem...

Nate smiled triumphantly. Now THIS was power. He swung his arms about, smashing the various pieces of wood placed around him. A bright blue substance licked around Nate's hands and feet like flames.
Sestial had explained to him that the art was called Blodguth, (pronounced blode-gooth) and channeled energy from the brain (where magic comes from) to the hands and feet, immersing them in an aura that burns everything else it touches and also can break just about anything in the world.
There was just one target left. It was a good ten feet away. Nate squinted his eyes thinking about the most enjoyable way to accomplish his task. Then he ran straight at the piece of wood, and vaulted up into the air. His foot came crashing down, breaking the piece of wood down the middle.
Sestial walked over to him, clapping. She wore a leather skirt that ended just before her knees and tendrils of jewelry were wrapped about her. Her hair was wrapped about her face like a dark flowing mane.

"Bravo!" she called, "I think you may have got it down!"
Nate smiled, "Yes, and I don't feel a single urge to transform. You have my thanks, you have given me a great gift."

"Yes I have indeed, now I give you a chance to use it." Sestial said mysteriously.
Nate c0cked his head, " What do you mean?"
Sestial raised her hand and waved him to her seductively, "Come, I'll show you."
Nate followed the enchantress through the woods, until they came to a small hut. Inside was a fireplace and a bookshelf stuff full of different parchments and papers.
Sestial gave him a seat and pulled out a stack of scrolls.
"They are called the Nephilum." She began.

chapter will be continued...

Chapter 14 continued...

According to Sestial the Nephilum were a coven of vampyres that once ruled the mountains. But a shade known only as Barzl came to them and tricked them. He then used a spell to bind them to his cause. The proud Nephilum had no choice, but to follow his orders. Now they live in a small camp similar to the Roomadon, but most of them have been dragged away to join the shade as pawns for his evil plans.
Sestial explained that Nephilum weren't the kindest people even before the shade had arrived. They would feast on humans every month on the full moon then wouldn't eat all month. The Roomadon fought the vampyres many times for dominance over the mountains. The Roomadon only won because the vampyres lost many of their numbers after Barzl came.
Sestial then described the Nephilum's look. They were basically the same size as humans, but with only black hair, and sharp finger and toenails, that are as sharp and hard as claws. They have pointed ears like elves in the legends of old and have sharper canines (the teeth). Black markings and lines stripe over their pale skin on their arms legs and chest. The Vampyres can jump as far as a tiger and run faster than a deer. Their strength is only matched by that of dragons.
Nate frowned, "So what does this have to do with me?" he asked.
Sestial smiled, " They are a great problem for the Roomadon. We would be in your debt if you could defeat the rest of them for us."
Nate felt like there was something off. " Why don't you do it yourself?" he asked.
Sestial shook her head, " Alas, They are too quick for us even when we are transformed."
Nate nodded, " Very well, I will, but I don't know where their camp is."
"I can take you there, It is on the other side of the mountains."
Nate got up and reached for a door, but Sestial slid infront of him slamming the door shut before he could fully open it.
"Not that one." she said, and lead him to the door to outside." Sestial apparently didn't want him seeing in that

"Iezabel!"
"Yes?"
"Go collect fire wood, we need more for the ceremony tonight."
"Yes, father." Isabelle answered.
She was grateful for the chance to get out of the camp. She loved the woods, they were so quiet and peaceful, much different from the hustle and bustle of the camp where the air was so musty and stale. Here the air was clear, Isabelle sighed happily as the clear air rushed through her lungs like a cool wind blowing throughout her body. She licked her fangs and poked at the tips of them with her tongue, a habit she had made over her fifty years of living. Though many people would mistake her for twenty five because of her young looks. But she knew she would look this way for at least two hundred more years.
Isabelle came to a tall tree with many branches jutting outward all around it. Her yellow eyes flashed as she leapt up into the first branch and then to another until she had reached the top. From there she felt as though she could see the whole world. Closing her eyes, she let the wind whip around her long black hair and swirl around her black leather pants revealing small anklets with runes of protection on them. The wind rushed about her, blowing her black vest back behind her revealing a light red tank top. Her arms were covered with black lines and markings that matched the black of her hair.
Reluctantly, Isabelle got down from the tree, but not before pulling a few limbs off. She carried them back to the camp and set them down in the pile with the rest of the wood. She went back to her house and sat down on her bed. Her mother walked in and sat down next to her.
"You must go and say goodbye to your father, Iezabel darling." her mother said sadly.
"Why? Is he going to Barzl again? Why must we obey that shade?" Isabelle asked, frustrated.
"Hush honey, not so loud, someone might here you. Don't you want your father to help him? By helping the great Barzl, he can earn a name for himself."

Isabelle muttered something inaudible under her breath.
Her mother started, "Iezabel, don't you love and support the shade? We all do."
Isabelle frowned, "Yes, Yes, sure... whatever."
Her mother got up and walked away. Isabelle later overheard her talking to her husband(Isabelle's dad)
"I don't understand, Why does she rebuke our savior so?"
"I fear it is because of her birth, she wasn't born in a ceremony like everyone else. The shade never blessed her like he did us, and how he has every generation since he came." Isabelle's father answered.
Isabelle shook her head, why did all of the vampyres in the Nephilum coven praise the shade so much?
Isabelle decided to wander the camp for a while, maybe she would see her friend Vladile, or Zaq. They were her best friends and she knew no better company than those two. They looked like all of the vampyres did, pale, black marks all over their body and yellow eyes. Vladile was shorter than Isabelle, but she could jump much higher. Zaq was incredibly muscular and he tried to show his muscles off as much as he could.
As Isabelle walked she saw two Nourom elders whispering to each other. What she heard made no sense to her but she listened anyway.
One of the elders had whispered to the other,
" Our Roomadon contact is bringing the dragonkin to us. She has taught him a new art of fighting to gain his trust, but it is no matter he cannot keep up with us, he will be slaughtered."
Isabelle shrugged, the elders and the Vampyre warriors always had some agenda, whether it was helping Barzl or fighting their own battles.
Isabelle felt sorry for whoever the trap was for, the Nephilum never show mercy. In fact, many would kill in cold blood. Though Isabelle found the idea wrong, other than to feed, for that was for sustenance, not killing for killing's sake. She had once read an old story of the time before, Bar*l the shade had come. How the sorcerer had changed things.
