Ghiak Feith:-

- Supposedly a migrant race.

- Similar appearance to the seyrens, only in varying shades of green. Their skin is covered in small scales like a snake. They are also fused with technology – making them cyborgs of sorts.

- Technology built into their bodies are programmed to disintegrate them upon dying,
making it impossible to capture and study a Ghiak Feith corpse. They use this same technology to end their own lives should they be captured.

- Not a playable race.

Systems and planets

Halo Nebula:-

• Alcazar: The planet considered central to the Galactic Federation and seat of government under the Galactic Court. A city planet with varying levels depending on class.

• Cilia 94: A smaller planet on which one of the military outposts protecting Alcazar is based. A barren planet, with evidence that it was once all covered in water.

• Unia: Similar to Cilia 94 in that a military outpost protecting Alcazar is also based here. Also used to train the Alcazarian military. Those trained here have pled their allegiance to the Galactic Court over their own races. Mainly wide open green spaces.

• Avis: A planet used as a vacation planet for some upper class denizens to go stay in one of the apartments available due to its lush artificial beaches and tourist spots. Intended as a break from the city – though you would have to be very rich to afford a stay here.

Larvok:-

• A’kasi: A desert-like world where all science and experiments take place. This planet is where the majority of their technology is developed, with some shipped to other planets for use in their own work or sent out to other races in the Galactic Federation.

• Sharkta: A rocky world where mining takes place. Many minerals and ores of all rarities and value are mined here, and are often traded across the galaxy as another form of income for the kanta – making them one of the richest races.

• Iktor: A watery planet that is mainly used for underwater farming and testing technology intended for water on other planets. Also used to provide water to the other planets in the system.

• Varish: A garden world used mainly for farming but is shared with other predators. This is where the majority of food is grown and hunted to provide the rest of the system.

• Mordak: The capital city planet of the Larvok system. It is a bizarre mesh of traditional wooden structures and artificial construction. They use elevators and vines to travel between the three tiers of the planet:-

Tier One: The top tier of the planet. Reserved for the home guard to be the first line of defence in an attack.

Tier Two: Where civilians live. Everyday life happens here, and there is no class system to separate everyone. The kanta also believe that everyone deserves to have the same start in life, so all kanta homes look the same. Simple roomed huts built on varying platforms around the second tier.

Tier Three: The ground level. This is where the military are trained, and you can also find the kanta’s seat of government here.

Aquarii:-

• Malora: A planet covered in a thick jungle of purple and blue hues. City structures are built in the form of massive trees with a wide base for an entire city to fit in. These trees have a natural outer layer, but everything within is built from metal with a silvery blue theme. All city trees are connected through tunnels with running escalator walkways – both above ground and underground. The latter is usually reserved for city work, such as construction and moving large deliveries around. The main city tree is Larimae – where their government is based.

• Nagaren: A large planet once covered in beautiful oceans but has now frozen over. Some outposts can be found here, but it is considered a harsh environment to stay too long in. It sits on the very outer edge of the Aquarii system and gets only a little light, which is said to make the ice sparkle and shine brightly like diamonds – hence it is often known as the Jewel of Aquarii. Breathing in the air here quickly freezes one’s lungs solid within an hour.

• Alijah: A water planet sitting closer to the centre of the galaxy. Metal Seyren structures scatter across the surface like small city islands – some of which are reachable via bridge. There are structures under the surface made up of metal and treated glass all the way down to some of the shallower areas under the ocean. These are also attached to the city structures above and are usually used for scientific development.

Aquarii (Cont.):-

• Ephira: The city planet of the dead. It is a strict part of the seyren culture that their dead are handled with care and placed into a small tomb on this planet. The style of each tomb is similar to that of Egyptian pharaohs. These tombs are built into apartment-style buildings covering the planet. Some areas are more crowded than others – with a wide space for a temple in which the seyren believe lies the tomb of the Daughter of Artema – Verisia. (By the Daughter is a popular seyren saying as opposed to “Oh my god”.)

Ciqala:-

• Tahatan: Once a garden world, now a barren wasteland of cliffs and valleys. The Djiro use this world as a place to develop their scientific and technological advances and experiments. The air here is toxic to non-Djiro. All structures here are built from all sorts of ships mashed together to form odd-shaped cities across the planet’s surface.

• Arvor: The capital planet of the Djiro. The various large buildings are built in the form of Ark-like ships – purposely so. They are neatly arranged in an outward spiral of city structures, with the largest ship as the centre of all things Djiro, known simply as the Ark.

• The Shipyard: Rather than an actual planet, this is a massive Djiro-made structure where ships are created, docked and repaired. It is as big as a normal planet and houses more Djiro here than even Arvor. It is thanks to the power of Djiro technology that it remains in orbit around the system. Whilst Tahatan is used for experimentation and technological advances, the Shipyard is the reason for many of these experiments. Shuttles are provided for those who dock at the Shipyard to any other planet in the system.

• Kotori: A broken planet. Once the planet for scientific advances, an experiment some centuries back shattered the planet. The pieces float together, with some of the larger pieces still used for some small-scale technological experiments. There is no atmosphere here, so all structures are sealed with oxygen pumped in.

Alpha Base:-

Alpha Base is a system set on the edge of the galaxy, just a little too out of reach for the Galactic Federation to bother with. Oddly, this system does have a law of its own – albeit a questionable one - but it is a haven for all criminals. The planets found here are:

• Sigma Base: A city planet that looks very much worse for wear. A mishmash of random structural architecture and technology. Despite its appearance, there is a form of government – though this is purely because the Sigma Stars are the strongest gang in the system and took power by force. The planet gets renamed every time a gang is strong enough to take over – though this usually occurs after a civil war that everyone else stays well clear of, even the Ghiak Feith.

• Zeta Base: Not a planet, but a massive ship that has been added to over time. Legends say it was a ship brought in by one of the earlier gangs in Alpha Base’s history and kept nearby as a means of escape. No-one has ever agreed on what exactly the gang expected to escape. It has now become a city of its own, expanded after every decade depending on what new technology has been brought in. The Sigma Stars keep a close eye on Zeta Base, ensuring that it always stays within their clutches.

• Upsilon Base: This is weirdly a planet all within Alpha Base respects. It is the source of food and fuel production for the system. Sigma Stars do keep a heavy guard here, but everyone who comes to Alpha Base knows better than to try and attack it. Without it, the system dies.

Alpha Base (Cont.):-

• Omega Base: The worst city planet of the system. Much like Sigma Base, this too is a mishmash of structural architecture. But this is mainly due to using whatever criminals sent here happen to bring with them. Those Sigma Stars consider criminals even in the Alpha Base system are sent here – usually on automated small ships that are expected to simply land and immediately shut down upon arrival. Or crash. These ships are often used to add to the city. There is no law here, and only the strong and intelligent survive.

Solaria:-

• New Earth: A planet similar to the original Earth in terms of land and sea. In this instance however, all land is covered by tiered city structures, whilst the seas are kept clean by Kanta technology. The seat of government for the humans are also based here. Some of the city structures are adjusted to allow for agriculture and farming, and some floating structures are kept out in the ocean for more farming to occur.

• Lunara: A pale rocky city planet with very low atmosphere, which is covered in metal structures to act as a second city planet for New Earth, intended to handle overpopulation issues.

• Plutoria: A highly toxic swamp-like planet, where humans have still managed to place some cities and towns which need constantly repairing as the planet’s atmosphere keeps degrading the structures over a shorter period than the natural elements back on New Earth. Some plant life here is of interest to the Seyrens, who use it for the purposes of medical research.

• Hera: An artificial planet currently still under construction to continue tackling the population explosion, intended to be a city planet. There is enough of it built that humans have started living here, but their homes are enclosed spaces into which oxygen is pumped.

• Odysseus Station: Rather than a planet, this is a space station at which all ships are expected to dock first and be identified before being allowed to continue to any of the planets in the system.

Technopaths

Although this is a sci-fi thread, technopaths are the closest we come to magic. Denizens in this universe are randomly born with certain genetic make up that allows them a particular sensitivity to electricity. The Seyrens were the first to create augmentation implants that allowed these denizens to focus and wield electricity of varying levels – usually for the purposes of augmenting technology or for combat. These augmentation implants come in a variety of levels, dependent on two conditions: -

- How naturally sensitive they are.

- How many certifications and tests they have passed. These are regulated strictly by the Galactic Court.
