As Conall spoke, the pair listened, remaining silent as he recounted his tale. To Auria, it was a bit odd that he was going into such detail right now; after all, they had only met minutes before. She knew this was more a projection on her part than anything else, though, as life stories were things she found difficult to share even when she had known who she was speaking to for a decent period of time.
At least she could understand why, or at least thought she did, although in part this was due to Rhamnusia. The AI had commented,
He’s certainly open, although I might be if I exploded in front of a new crew member like that as well. I can’t fault him for any of that, though, if what he’s saying is true.

She was also the one who spoke first after Conall had finished.

Nobody ever wants to remember. It’s easier to make up convenient excuses and bury everything that reminds you of what happened in the past.
” Rhamnusia said, her tone of voice indicating that she was being more serious than she had been overall so far. “
There’s some things that can’t and shouldn’t be forgotten, but those are just blemishes on the shining future that
