I want Jagex to surprise me :)
They said it'll answer all problems, so hopefully West Ardougne will finally be fixed :o
Or maybe the plague is a double buff, and is real :P ahaha
I don't know, and I supported your world event with Tuska !

Yes, but to be perfectly honest, The World Wakes was also supposed to do that...
And as a small disclaimer: I wrote this quest before Jagex started talking about Prifddinas. It was only after they started advertising it: cooincidence?

And I think I answered a good deal of questions! Read on!
I’m not great at this game, but I do love quests.

@Any-sao: I thought the World Wakes was pretty impressive, I never suspected they would kill off Guthix (until the "Robes of Remembrance" came out a day before I was going to do the quest (as I needed to get my attack up for it)).
When did you come up with the quest?

Jagex have been "advertising" Prifddinas since 2004.

I came up with the quest about two weeks after TWW's release.
I was then firemaking in Lletya with friends, and we said Jagex should finally release Mourning's end part III...

That quest was pretty inevitable tbh.

Then what's the issue with taking things into our own hands, and working to help Jagex in making quests that players will like.

Really, the only one who doesn't like it is you. You COULD just read it..

Nah, I'm sure there are plenty of others.
I don't see why players should take the jobs of experienced story writers, art designers etc.

I just find it unlikely that such a major quest would be considered to be "done by a player", and also, I'm sure Jag have been planning this for a long time and have surprises that trump your own (no offensive).

To each their own, but this specific part here is what I have to dispute. I don't mean to dis Jagex, but sometimes when it comes to lore, they just make it up as they go along. For example, look at their concept for Prifddinas (Or "Elf City&quot ;) ... They've significantly changed their plans for it several times so far. In the past ten years they have no plans at all.

If I have the opportunity to change something, I'll do it. In this case, it was to write this. But again, to each their own.

I just spent the last one and a half hours reading the script, and it's
golden
!

MODS JOHN A AND CHRIS L!!!! READ THIS THREAD!!!!!

There are some things I have an issue with, though:

Why would there still be mourners in West Ardy? And there should be changes in dialogue with the NPCs in West Ardougne as well (Citizens, Bravek, Jethick, etc.)

West Ardougne should be restored (perhaps in a subsequent quest, so I'll let this pass).

No mention of King Lathas' desire to reclaim Camelot?

Having the Tyras guards at Port Tyras say that they're safeguarding the Charter port, rather than "living in the forest", would make more sense IMO. If you talk to one of them during Regicide he says he misses his wife and kids in West Ardy (if I recall correctly).

Overall, if the elf sequel was done exactly as you envisioned, it would be released to almost unanimous acclaim.

Ah! This post took me by surprise. I just came here for a routine bump, and instead I was gladly greeted with this! :D

And to address your concerns...
The mourners in west ardougne and Tyras guards in Isafdar (ironic, isn't it?) kinda *need* to stay there. Why? Because they can't be removed. A little known fact is that attack able NPCs can not only show up for certain players. So I justified it to the best of my ability with the dialogue. Any unattackables would be gone.
And the dialogue with the forest-living guards: remember Arianwyn's address to Prifddinas? He mentioned that to the men who laid down their lives to defeat Iorwerth are free to live with the elves. Plus, I'd rather live in a forest than a worn down city!
And Lathas taking over Camelot... Well, he betrayed the mourners earlier in the quest, and there is a rumor Jagex is removing Camelot soon anyway, for similar reason to Romeo and Juliet. I just tried to avoid mentioning Camelot then.
And I think the mods have already read this... That's why they're keeping MEP3 secret. ;)
