With Menaphos out, it seems I don't need 85 or 88 Slayer to get into the city, but to get access into the slayer dungeon. With not a lot of room to put in the new quests into the list, I'm considering on creating a new thread to continue my progress, while still working with this one. That being said, a new thread will be out later today, so keep an eye out for it.

But anyways, River of Blood is done, and I really enjoyed it. The plot points featured in previous Myreque quests are resolved nicely and the current plot situation of recreating the Salve barrier is done well in a very good pace. Now, I know some people dislike the quest for rushing things, especially the ending, but think about it; what would you think would happen if Vanescula and her army crossed the river anyways without any regard to what would happen to them? For me, they wouldn't want the effect of stripping their thirst for blood to happen to them; because they are vampyres after all, are they? Anyway, back with the quest. I also find the boss fight ok, but I think I would find the use of check points in the boss battle, like last time in Lord of Vamp(yr)ium. Without that advantage, I almost find it hard to defeat the boss, before I ended up using curses to reflect damage back at the boss to defeat him. Overall, its a good quest. Also, why was a need for fires in a withering forest next to a town behind it? You would think that those fires would end up causing a Morytanian forest fire or something.

Oh, and as for the rewards, I was thinking about leveling up Strength with the xp tome so that it could get me to the requirement for final dwarf quest, but after a bit calculation, it would be enough to reach 85 in addition to the xp reward from the final fremennik saga, which I haven't got to yet. But, don't worry, I'm working on something for strength xp. Not only do I have work for that skill, but I'm working on getting 89 crafting since that would allow me to craft crystal flasks, but I have 83 right now, not helped, probably, by the fact that the grand defense potion is expensive in the Grand Exchange. :|

The quest seemed good. I liked how we need to restore the crystal elf goddess, Seren, from using the major shards and raw crystals without tearing the crystals off of the city because Prifddinas is a crystallized city now and, well, where would we be without Prifddinas around. I think retrieving the major shards for the elven clan elders make sense since it might be an indication they have witnessed Seren's shattering and they thought saving the major components of her would be helpful (just wished getting the light cores would have been much easier for the Hefin and Amlodd crystal). Speaking of making things easy, I was apparently able to buy the grand defense potion from the grand exchange for way less coins than I was expecting to pay for (I originally assumed the grand defense potion would cost about 100 thousand coins, but got it for about 8 thousand :) ). The combat portion for getting the raw crystals was ok. I died once only because the game was lagging in a rental house that has crappy wifi, so at least I wasn't careless about the use of combat abilities (the rental house I'm in is in Ohio, but that's another story, just a big event going on tomorrow). Nonetheless, its a good quest overall. Used the reward lamps to level up Herblore and Prayer in the next thread :D .

Children of Mah is out of the books. Man at this rate, maybe, I could have myself a quest cape, but we'll see how difficult the bosses go. Anyway, I thought this is a strong sequel from what happened in Freneskae. With the Mahjarrat created by Elder God, Mah, it feels necessary that they return to their home planet to reclaim their stolen power. I believe that Seren killing Mah was a bit necessary as well. After all, Mah was stillborn when she came out of her egg and it left her rarely mobile, which you might see why she wasn't included with the other Elder Gods when they created Gielinor and other planets. And as a result for being left alone, she created the two current transcendent gods and other species, such as the Mahjarrat. The combat part was good, had the Shard of Zaros handy with me so that it doesn't get overwhelming. For the dream puzzle parts, I wasn't a fan of it mostly. The most difficult puzzle of said portion was the third one that got so hard that I had to go through the easy mode as much times a possible until I was able to pass that. Speaking of dream part, I wonder why Mah would have nightmares of creatures she has created, aside from what Seren said in each puzzle. Anyway, a good quest for the most part, decent backstory, cool combat, and an ok puzzle sequence. I used the xp reward book to level up strength closer to its goal. You guys think I can make it to 85 for Birthright this month? You make the call! ^_^
