I see you have a new quest to complete!

Oh wow! I'm pleased the F2P community has access to a large portion of the cosmetics. That's certainly welcome!

Nice progress with the dailies.

Thanks, Trewavas. Yes, it's nice that some of the formerly-rare items are able to be used by free players too. As for cosmetics, I'm not that into them as some others are. *waves to Kristen* However, I do enjoy my Firestorm Blades. Emotes are fun as well. :)

Apologies for not posting a new song since LAST YEAR! O_o I'll remedy that sad situation soon!

Speaking of that new quest...

That's good to hear! Don't worry about the songs: I have only posted a few. The laptop dying pushed me to my phone, which has made the forums s little challenging! I think I'm managing okay though, and I have posted a new song today!

Enjoy the quest. :)

Early this afternoon, I finished the new quest Heartstealer, which was released on Monday.

I began the quest Monday night, getting through most of the quest. I stopped after disabling the western power source. I solved that puzzle the first time through. It was very easy - or maybe I was just very lucky. All I did was click the lever. Caelyn and I ran through the maze without being spotted by either guard. I attempted to solve the eastern power source puzzle, but after a few failed attempts, I logged out and got some sleep.

I did not play much on Tuesday. However, I did solve the puzzle to disarm the eastern power source, after a few more failed attempts. This puzzle and the one to the north, presented the only complaint I have with this quest. When you go down the stairs, the lever for the eastern power source is just to the left of the stairs. However, if you click Pull Lever at this point you actually run away from the lever in order to go through the whole maze - as if you want to be caught by the guards! It is idiotic for the characters to choose this long way around when the lever is so close! The problem exists in the northern power source puzzle. If you were allowed to go west then north with complete freedom of movement, you could easily avoid at least three of the four guards on your way to the lever. After several failed attempts, I logged out. I watched a YouTube quest guide video which offered a couple of helpful ideas, but some of the videomaker's tips were not working well for me, so I had to devise my own plan. He also wrongly states there are five guards to the north. There are four.

To be continued...

On Wednesday afternoon, I made several more attempts to complete the final puzzle of this quest. Instead of clicking each tile to carefully advance tile by tile, as the YT video suggests, I used the minimap to proceed. I found this method did not glitch and reset the puzzle the way clicking tiles sometimes did. After following the first guard and using the crates to hide from the second guard, I used the minimap to follow the third guard south. Then, before the last guard approached, I ran west then north - again using the minimap. As the second guard turned to walk east, I ran east and pulled the lever. Puzzles solved! ^_^

I finished the dialogue. The identity of the masked woman did not surprise me at all. I claimed my rewards and used my two free TH keys.

I now have 70 Quest Points, and I still have to do Missing, Presumed Death.

Overall, I thought this was a lovely little quest. It was nice to see Cae and Annie again. Having an old friend provide a distraction was perfect. The goblin poetry was interesting. I had no idea those two were that...close.

Those puzzles though. :@

Cool. I'll have to have a look!

Good luck with the laptop. Maybe you can get it to respawn! If not, perhaps burying it will award you some Prayer XP. ;)

Lol! Maybe!

I have ordered a new desktop with all the bells and whistles, but the parts shortage has ermm... postponed it. :P

I think I'll organise an open-casket funeral for my dear laptop. It saw me through two degrees and numerous songs. RIP.

-goes to read your broken posts-

Edit:. The quest was fun! But I understand your frustrations with the puzzle. Imagine doing it on mobile to earn your completionist cape back. :(
