On Wednesday afternoon, I did what I traditionally do when I am close to gaining new melee combat levels - I visited several of my best enemies, allowing their deaths to contribute towards my impending success.
I started off by killing some scorpions at the mine north of Al Kharid. Next, I teleported to Varrock. There, I dispatched some dark wizards. Then it was time for some more challenging PvM, so I went into the Varrock sewers. I did stop to bust about 20 ghosts, but I quickly moved along to the deadly red spiders. I spent quite a bit of time training on these spiders. When I started, I was roughly 20k XP away from gaining a level in Attack, Constitution, Defence, and Strength. When I decided to leave the sewers, with a full inventory of red spiders' eggs, I was only 8k XP away from leveling. After selling the spiders' eggs at the G.E., I teleported to Edgeville. I entered the dungeon there, and stopped just outside the corridor leading to the lair of the poison spiders. I was experiencing some serious lag spikes, so I logged out for several hours.
I logged in again that night and battled many aggressive poison spiders, along with a reduced amount of lag. I was just under 3k XP away when I chose to leave, teleporting to Falador. I went down into the mine and slew a lot of scorpions and king scorpions. I decided I would once again I would level by killing scorps. When I logged out early Thursday morning, I only needed about 860 or so XP to level.
On Thursday afternoon, I slaughtered enough scorps to where I needed just 201 XP to level Attack/Defence/Strength and 305 XP to level Constitution. I teleported to Al Kharid and logged out, knowing my immediate goal was about to be reached.
I logged in late Thursday night and did my dailies. I then grabbed my bow and ran to the Al Kharid mining site. I trained Ranged on 10 scorpions, which brought up my Constitution to 200 XP away from leveling. Then I switched back to my melee gear.

With my rune armor and longswords equipped, I killed another 18 scorpions. Now I needed only 9 XP to level Attack and Strength, 10 XP to level Defence, and 11 XP to level Constitution.
I killed scorp #19 in front of the entrance to the Al Kharid resource dungeon. This got me Attack, Defence, and Strength level 91!
It also raised my Combat Level to 114, and left me 1 XP short of leveling Constitution!
Killing nearby scorp #20 got me Constitution level 91!
My Total Level is 1557 (Virtual Level 1558).

So it was just after Midnight on Friday morning when I finally gained Combat Level 114, even though for many months my RuneMetrics profile has listed my CL as 114.
I just checked it and, now that I truly am CL 114, my RuneMetrics profile now shows my CL to be 115!
Good Guthix, will this ever be accurate?

^ Hah! I'd say they would call me The Oncoming Storm, not their king!

This afternoon, I decided to complete my current Daily Challenges - all 5 of them.
First, I went to the Artisans' Workshop in Falador, where I completed a Smithing challenge by making 2 sets of rune arrowheads. I then teleported to Edgeville, where I banked the arrowheads before going down into the dungeon. There, I battled the level 63 poison spiders to complete a Combat challenge. I used the Combat XP lamp on Ranged. While down there, I used the bone spawns to complete a Prayer challenge.
Next, I teleported to Port Sarim and ran west to Anja's house in Rimmington, where I completed a Thieving challenge by pickpocketing Hengel 25 times. Of course, since my Thieving is only at level 5, he caught me several times. Hengel hits hard for a level 4! I hit harder though.
Whenever Hengel would catch and attack me, I'd just exterminate him once I was no longer stunned. On one occasion, as I was going after Hengel to attack him for attacking me, Anja walked between us and stopped in front of Hengel - as if to try and protect him from me!
It didn't work.
Once this task was finished, I terminated Hengel one last time before teleporting to Taverley.
Running north to the Burthorpe cows, I saw some low-levels training on them. There were plenty of cowhides lying around, so I helped myself to 16 of them. I then had Jack Oval tan 5 of the cowhides into normal leather for me. Jack also kindly offered me some thread. I made 5 leather shields to complete a Crafting challenge. This completed all of my Daily Challenges, and it also raised my Crafting level to 83!
My Total Level is 1558 (Virtual Level 1559).

This afternoon, while crafting gold amulets then alching them in Al Kharid, I went over the 90 million Total XP mark!
