1.2 XP Weekend update:
So far, it has been a great first day of 1.2 XP Weekend, and the day isn't even over yet!
I warmed up by using all the daily charges of High-Alchemy, Low-Alchemy, and Superheat granted by my Explorer's ring 4. Then I cooked several inventories of tuna in Al Kharid. No Magic or Cooking levels were gained...but level gains were on the horizon!
I went to the bank chest in Lumbridge Market and withdrew some protean hides. I used 80 of these to reach Crafting level 81!
Next, I teleported to Falador and ran to the Artisans' Workshop, where I grabbed some advanced pulse cores, cinder cores, and 50 protean bars. After a little protean elder rune smithing, I was only 10,277 XP away from saying goodbye to my 99 Smithing. I then made 2 sets of rune arrowheads to complete a daily challenge. Redeeming this challenge got me my first virtual skill level - Smithing level 100!
I noticed on the skills tab the Smithing icon did not flash when my level rose to 100. From this moment forward, my Total Skill Level and my Virtual Total Skill Level will never be the same again. I made one more set of rune arrowheads with my new level 100 Smithing, then banked them all before heading down into the Mining Guild.
I had done some mining earlier in the day at the Al Kharid desert mine to obtain a full backpack of gold ore (which is what I used my 27 Superheat charges on). With a +10% buff to XP in effect from all that smithing, it was now time for some serious mining. Starting with the runite rocks in the Mining Guild, and alternating between wearing cinder cores and pulse cores, I had mined 70 ores when I reached Mining level 98!
I continued mining until I had 120 runite, 120 luminite, and 140 iron ores. I placed these in my metal bank.
Next, I completed a daily Runecrafting challenge in the Runespan. I stayed there until I had earned 200 points, bringing my total Runespan points to 30,000. I did not gain a Runecrafting level, though.

Finally, I teleported back to Lumbridge, where I took 120 protean logs from my bank and used them to reach Fletching level 83!
My Total Level is now 1549 (Virtual Level 1550).
Today I also went over 86 million XP.

Yeah, 99 Mining is a goal I set for myself by the end of this year. The plan is to reach:
97 Mining by 3/31/20 (I got this on 3/29/20)
98 Mining by 7/31/20 (I got this on 5/8/20)
99 Mining by 12/31/20
It's certainly going well so far - I am ahead of schedule!

1.2 XP Weekend update:
On Thursday afternoon, I made three trips to the mining site north of Al Kharid. I mined some gold ore during the first two trips, superheated 27 of those ores into bars, and smelted the rest in Al Kharid. I crafted the bars into gold amulets, which I then alched. On the third trip, I entered the resource dungeon to mine the precious gem rocks. I found 14 uncut emeralds, 8 uncut rubies, and 6 uncut diamonds. After cutting all the emeralds and rubies, I was 283 XP away from gaining a level. Then I began cutting the diamonds. After the first two, I was just 25 XP from the next level. Cutting the third diamond got me to Crafting level 82!
I hadn't checked my Runecrafting XP since completing the last couple of Zodi-Yak Track tasks for that skill, so when I looked at it today, I saw I was only 654 XP away from leveling the skill. Therefore, I visited the Runespan. I siphoned 25 air runes from a cyclone, grabbed another 25 floating essence, and climbed up to the middle floor, where I siphoned a body esshound. When I had obtained 4 of the 5 available body runes from this creature, I got Runecrafting level 87!
My Total Level is 1551 (Virtual Level 1552). Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

1.2 XP Weekend update:
This Sunday evening, I made 2,000 headless arrows. Then, I took another 2,000 headless arrows and 4,000 rune arrowheads out of my bank. I fletched 4,000 rune arrows. After I had made 1,845 arrows, I managed to reach Fletching level 84!
One more level until I can make magic shieldbows!
My Total Level is 1552 (Virtual Level 1553).
I also did some smithing this evening. I didn't gain another level, but I did pass the 15 million mark in Smithing XP, and the 88 million mark in total XP. Protean elder rune smithing while wearing cinder cores to burn bonus XP is quite good!
I've burned up all my BXP in Mining this weekend - about 425,000 of it. I still have more mining to do before 1.2 XP Weekend ends at Noon on Monday (game time). It looks like I'm in for a long night/morning!

I went down into the Mining Guild early this morning, and mined 120 runite ores. This got me to 12,725 XP away from a milestone level. I logged out and got some sleep.
This afternoon, I proceeded to mine 120 luminite ores. I was mining the rock closest to the door to the Mining Guild when I had 93 luminite ores. I paused for a moment, then hit the rock with a mighty chi-blast which got me two more luminite ores - and Mining level 99!
This is my second 99 achieved, completely in F2P.
My Total Level is 1553 (Virtual Level 1554).
One of my New Year's resolutions was to get 99 Mining before the end of this year. I have now reached that goal, just over six months early. That rocks!
