Yak To The Shadows update:

I completed Task #12 by smithing 50 sets of rune arrowheads. Adding these to my bank increased my collection to 57,100 rune arrowheads. Those should help raise my Fletching!

I also completed Task #13 by bringing 5 nature runes to Brian, who runs the ranged shop in Rimmington. In preparation for this task, I gathered 12 nature runes by killing dark wizards near the Varrock lodestone. When you talk to Brian, he says he doesn't understand why people keep bringing him these runes. After you remind him that he's getting free stuff, he quotes a song title from the Monty Python movie "Life Of Brian"! Nice one, Jagex!

The other "option" was impossible to do in F2P, since Ardougne is not accessible on free worlds. Nice one, Jagex.

Task #14 involves either cutting 280 logs or stringing 800 bows. 10 full inventories of yew logs will complete this task quite nicely, thank you. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

I finished Task #14 by cutting 280 yew logs.

After taking a break from the Yak Track this afternoon to complete and redeem two Daily Challenges (Mining and Runecrafting), I made my way to the Artisans' Workshop to work on Task #15. For this one, I could've smelted 860 bars (steel or better). However, I have chosen to smith 50 items (steel or better) instead. Sure, the smelting would've gone a little faster - but I want to save my ore for later smelting tasks, which are sure to be more of a grind. When I reach one of these, I don't want to have to waste time mining the necessary ore first!

I am currently making more rune arrowheads. When this task is done, I'll have another 3,750 to add to the collection. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

Early Saturday morning, I used two shining small prismatic lamps I had just won on TH, plus two medium prismatic lamps I got for 150 oddments, to reach Ranged level 85!

My Total Level is 1559 (Virtual Level 1560). Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

I finished up Task #16 this afternoon after smelting 864/860 steel and mithril bars. Roughly 1/4 of the bars were mithril, with the rest being steel. This got me a cape override.

I'll be going to Karamja to harpoon 200 swordfish and tuna for Task #17 (fish for salmon or better). I'd rather do that than bury 1,000 bones! Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

I more than completed Task #17 (catch 200 fish) by harpooning 110 swordfish and 100 tuna. When I was a little more than 3/4 done with this task, I had reached Fishing level 91!

My Total Level is 1560 (Virtual Level 1561).

For Task #18 I can either mine 310 luminite and runite ores, or make 1,125 pieces of food by either cooking swordfish or making cheese wheels. Obviously, I'll be mining. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!
