Yak To The Shadows update:
I finished Task #19 by chopping 325 yew logs in Edgeville. When I began this task, I had to chop 330 yew logs, as noted in my previous post. However, after I had chopped 235 yews I reached Woodcutting level 83!
At this point, my task was changed. After 5 more logs, my task was updated to 240/325. A small reward for gaining a level, I guess you could say.
My Total Level is 1561 (Virtual Level 1562).
To complete Task #20, I can craft or siphon 765 body runes or I can kill 1,113 monsters. I'd prefer combat, but runecrafting would be quicker...not as much fun, but quicker. It's too bad we can't work on both options partway in order to complete these tasks. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

I completed Task #20. Once again, I did a little more than I had to do. I siphoned 300 points worth of body runes in the Runespan, which amounted to 429 runes. Then, I teleported to Varrock, mined some rune essence, and made 6 runs to the body altar in Edgeville, where I crafted 386 runes, for a total of 815/765 body runes. Redeeming this task earned me the Zarosian Vigil pet. It's always watching me.
That's not disturbing at all!
My list of pets on page 11 has been updated. I now have 43 pets!
Although I chose not to complete this task by killing 1,113 monsters, I did go and kill 13 monsters, just because I wanted to. Rest In Pieces, scorps.
Speaking of choosing not to complete tasks, I used a free Yak Track skip to autocomplete Task #21, which was a choice between crafting 705 green dragonhide bodies/shields or completing 9 Abandoned 2 floors in Dungeoneering. Both of those options sounded horribly grindy to me, so I passed - or rather, I skipped.
For Task #22, I can either cook swordfish or make wheels of cheese 1,215 times - or string 1,500 bows.
The grind just keeps getting worse!
Maybe I'll be lucky enough to find some skips during the beach event.
