Can W71 please be added back as a penguin world? Been using them for over 3 years, would be a shame if they lost a bunch of newcomers because they didn't know anything but W60 existed. Click here to support my idea to make the Chronicle Absorption prayer useful!

The new section is something for the short term, the idea is to eventually push patch notes to their own news posts, but they're in a new section for now just to keep it away from RGU, as we unsticky patch note posts in RGU they get lost and eventually deleted when they hit page 50 of RGU, I'd rather not lose them at all.

Isn't this what we used to have? A individual thread posted each week in RGU with the post also added to an eternal patch notes thread.

Yes, there was a stickied thread in General that contained years' worth of patch notes. My favourite patch note ever was included.

Then some Jmod just unstickied it and let it fall off the forums. We tried to tell them to move it to another section but they didn't listen. All those patch notes were lost. So,

That's cool but it's too late to save my favourite patch note ever.

RIP Patch Notes 4 July 2016 - never forget!

https://runescape.wiki/w/Patch_Notes still has them at least (though may be missing some later edits on the originals), but I agree they should be archived on the official site really, not a player run wiki, even if it is supported by Jagex now.

So a patch week it is indeed... what a disappointment, seeing as you guys have proven the ability to deliver meaningful weekly content in the past. Patches are nice, but we need new content as well.

We do get content, but you have to remember that its the holiday season + the end of the year thus not as many "updates" will happen.

To be fair, they did ask for suggestions, and take on board feedback they received.

It's more perhaps that it was difficult for people to find out what was happening, and thus know to give feedback, and where.

Each time this gets done, some communities are left hanging, at least this time, it wasn't despite the feedback, it was due to a lack of it.
I'm sure if you explain your concerns, they will be considered, and likely acted upon.

May I ask were did they ask for feedback regarding world theme changes? Because I was not aware of this at all. I'm sure many people were not aware of it if this was the case.

It was twitter, yes - though I found it through the Forum thread, AOROX runs in General, that gives an outline of stuff mods post, elsewhere.

Looks like a pretty decent set of patch notes.

So happy to see the option for legacy minimap icons has been added. I never really got used to the new ones since 2014, maybe it's just because I haven't needed many shops.

W84 to W83 LRC change: not sure why there had to be a need to change that; I think the world activities should be named according to what is happening on that world, rather than trying to segregate one activity per world. But oh well.

How about when you have the Statue collection bag equipped when you get a strange rock or a golden rock piece from the Motherlode Maw it goes into the bag instead of the backpack. At the moment you have to un-equip the bag and put it in manually.

That's not right. I don't usually carry the bag so I was unaware of this bug. The whole point of carrying the bag is the rocks go straight into it.

I'm sure you reported it, so hopefully it gets straitened out very soon. Since all we get for updates is typo's corrected and stuff already done (death's office already offered healing at least it did during the Halloween event) something like this should be easy.

Again, I haven't experienced this for myself, but should be reported as a bug.
