The Gowers brothers made content based on it being fun content they would want to play, not based on how much time it took to make or how expensive it was to make. And somehow they made quality content that was fun on a regular basis without it breaking the budget. Why can't Jagex do that today?

Well what is/isnt "fun" is subjective.

Just because you might not things today are, doesnt mean other ppl feel the same.

If Jagex wants someone to lower their expectations, Jagex should do the same too, rather than expect others to do what they say but not adhere to their own word. Now, personally speaking, I'm sure you wouldn't like it either if a corporate took something dear to you and tried to rip you off as much as possible for it. If that hasn't happened to you yet as it has to me with RS3, great, and I hope it never will, because I can tell you, it's disheartening. EDIT: Thanks for replying though, it's progress still.[/snow][qfc id=14-15 page=10819][/qfc][/quote] ceased being a payer/player/forum user for years, and this argument forced me to break a long-held silence. targeting the "whale" players, MTX is intended to meet Jagex's perceived shortfall between: 1. $ amount (Jagex believes) all members are willing to pay*number of members, and 2. total $ needed to keep ownership/board/management secure. with this in mind, one can deduct that membership fee being too low (in Jagex's opinion) is the very reason MTX exists. in other words, membership fee "too low" leads to MTX, not [s]MTX allows membership fee to be lower[/s] ------ as an alternative way to deduce this, ask yourself the following question: can MTX possibly exist without core game? (as in, would ANYONE buy, for example, the $40 assassin skin if there's no game in which to put it on?)

Transcendent's prior comment is spot-on though.
Bizarre Boron Fusswell, scryer extraordinaire. OSRS: POH ideas & RS3 minigames & achievement ideas !

Perhaps you're half right; perhaps we can't win. But we can fight.

I think they are able to make good content if they wanted. Some things I've wondered are if they are making these "other" games, will some of the ideas that are great about them could have been implemented to aid RS3 instead? I think maybe the new recruits should work on new games and veterans work on Rs3.

Maybe they are trying to purposely kill RS3 off and continue with osrs. Why else would they only release mobile for OSRS? Another theory could be they are scaling RS3 up so maybe they building code and redesign and we'll have RS4 soon? Could be a reason for the drought, but I think they should just tell us this info so more players don't abandon.
Best wishes to all.
Jagex declared WAR on April 2nd, 2012 by implementing MTX.

Please re-add Shades of Mort'ton to w88. It is impossible to finish the quest or make sacred oil after it without help, and it's essential to have the encouragement the world identity provides. Relying on forum teams to assemble is simply not a viable alternative.

This is a vital part of the minigame.

They made an items that allows you to instantly build up the walls in 1 click. you can do it solo now and as for the shades that destroy your wall they also made a dummy that will draw their agro

Low-levelled players can't perhaps make (ironmen)/afford those braces, and the dummies are only available after the medium Morytania diary - which requires Shades of Mort'ton. While technically possible with lots of effort to solo, the temple reparation really is a group activity, and should have a homeworld. Moreso than crap like portable skilling or community Summoning training... :/

I agree,
Revert World 88 to Shades of Morton
and replace Community Summoning Worlds instead, Portable Worlds on another hand realistically this isn't necessarily needing to be dedicated but it's not exactly harmful to the community either.

Pleaseeee? bring back w88 to Shades of morton!, also agree with "Community Summoning"? .. c'mon! no body train that on teams

Original message details are unavailable.
Later on today we'll be tweaking the activities on the following worlds in line with feedback we got:

71: Lava Flow Mine & Penguin Hide & Seek
88: Shades of Mort'ton
100: Group Questing & Treasure Trails

After next Monday's update W115 will also be a world for Elite Dungeons!

Forlorn Flamtaer foremen and pioneering penguin pundits rejoice!

It amazes me how much they really don't get about the community they say they understand. I'm happy they saw the fally of their mistake and corrected it. Though they should have also left well enough alone to begin with. Once again the players have to give " feedback" to their silliness.
