My girlriend just started playing RS on mobile awhile ago and then today she asked why she couldn't log on her account and we tried everything, uppdating emails resetin pw and nothing worked.
When we finally logged in to her acc she was back in tutorial iland, but her in game name was taken so her account can't be deleted but she can't access the (original) acc. She is still on my friends list and she's on the highscores just not abel to log on via mobil or PC so if anyone knows anyting.

It's like her acc has reset.

It sounds like she has logged in to a different account.

Is she still logging in via mobile or has she moved across to a pc?
Does she use Android or iOS mobile?

If she is using iOS the login page should show two options:
* continue with Game Centre
* continue with RuneScape account
Which one is she clicking? (if she has tried both options they will each take her to a different account).

Hey

Thanks for answering i will tell her to try out the different options and if thay dosen't work she told me it was okey just to startover, she just likes to fish and chop wood :D

Ps: she is only playing on mobile not pc

Hey! i have the same issue!! i made an account 2010 and have not been online for over 9 years, i now finally managed to get it back with the name "ean007" wich is the name i had back in the days, i got logged in and got to tutorial island, i still had over 30 friends added (my very old friends from 2010) and also had to log in with my username and not email, which means the account is very old. When i tried to get my account back i mentioned that i had payed for member and how i payed with it, they decided to let me change my password and get the account back, which means they found my old payments for membership. What i don't get is why is everything reset? i have all my old friends on friendlist and my old information on the account but all my levels/gold are set to 0, it's like it reset everything. i would be really happy to get help! thank you!

While the same login/password will get you access to both RS3 and Old School RS, the two games are completely separate and you train your character separately.

Old School RS is based on 2007 Runescape but was uploaded to play in 2013.
If you have been inactive for over nine years, it means you have never played Old School RS - it didn't exist until 2013.

Your saved game progress is in RS3: Dude... where's my stats?

Until today I found out runescape was back, with both a old school version and the RS3, so I decided to log in, again after 10 years, so I logged in first to Old School(cuz memories) and see my character had been reset, so I found that everyone had to start over on that version... Anyways, so I tried the RS3, go throught the tutorial and just to found that my account had been reset/deleted, even my avatar name is another one, so im trying to recover my old account by de the of Charliek04

If you found that your game progress in RS3 was also not there, it usually means you have not logged into the account you think.

For a ten year old account, your login is a 'username' login - did you use the username?
If you used an email login, it would not have been the same account.

You might like to try the tool on the Forgotten login support page*

**: Display Names
If your account has been inactive for several years or more, it would have had its display name removed.
Display names from inactive accounts get removed and put back into the name pool.
Where has my character name gone?
