There has been some requirement changes made to what hardware and operating system can be used to play the game. If those who are still experiencing issues posts their device specifications below it might help diagnose your issue.

If you would like to give this a try yourself check the patch notes from Oct 17 and Hooli's post. Life is like a camera: Just focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out, take another shot !

Hi guys I'm having the same issue I've tried everything everyone has quoted there's still error messages coming every time what usually happens with me is once I put in my password and you get that spinning wheel qouting "signing in" it crashes and crashes as soon as it gets to lobby too and finally also crashes as soon as you have got into the game and it makes that *poof* sound meaning you are in game it has been happening to me since the update and I hope jagex fixes this quickly aswell as give us back the membership we lost and the days of the halloween event we lost because I was looking forward to trying it out.

edit 1: It's now forcefully crashing my whole computer turning it completely off and it only happens when trying to load the client.

Freezes at login, freezes at teleport, freezes when running anywhere in game.

These things started with the update of October 17, making it really had to play the game effectively.
Many people encountered similar problems, others don't and blame our "potato pc", it was fine until that specific update though, this is not on "us".
Mobile actually works better than my pc at the moment, it's ridiculous.

Mine is doing the same thing! I was beginning to think my account was being hacked/hijacked. I wonder if it's only some devices that can't run it, because my desktop can but my laptop and my mobile device can't. I contacted Jagex about the problem but apparently, as I see now, I'm not the only one having this problem. I guess I can at least rest easier know it's most likely not hijackers, unless it's a mass Runescape hacking/hijacking problem. Whatever it may be, I'm still on my toes, some things in my account have been affected by this strange crashing bug, so I'm watching those affected areas extremely close. Good luck to you guys and everyone else dealing with this too, hopefully this is repaired soon and fully. It's taken far too long to fix a problem like this.
