I've been playing RS3 most days for many years on the same machine. Since Monday's update I'm getting random freezes where like others have posted the CPU goes to 100%, most of it being used by the RS3 client. I'm lucky as mine doesn't crash but it has made bossing impossible. I too have tried clearing the cache, re-installing the client (I even installed Steam and tried it on that but get the same issue) and I've checked all my drivers again to make sure they are still up to date. I can't find anything else that has changed since Monday and no other programs I use seem to be affected by this issue which leads me to suspect it is a change in the RS3 client. Has anyone found out anything new that might help?
Edit: I should also add I have set my graphic option to minimum but that hasn't helped either.

I made an error ticket (Jagex #3978145) to support. They said that handful of users have the same problem and they try to find the reason. Meanwhile they suggested to clear cache, update drivers etc. I have an old iMac and it's so updated as it coud be..
Something has changed in Monday game update. Hope they find what..

I'm too seeing a client crash after about 1 min of playing. It seems the client freezes, cursor moves very slowly - perhaps CPU is 100%.
Then Windows shows the following as the client window closes:

The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. The memory could not be %s.
(c0000005)

I've done a disk check and REM check with no problems. It is only the RS3 client program to suffer this issue.

fix the crashing issue since update!! we pay to play this game. that ends over next couple days if not fixed. ive done all the above. since update I cant even play on min settings without crashing. cleared cache. reinstalled. nothings works. not worth 15/mnth if u can even play!!!

Hi, same issue. Have a Mac OS running High Sierra.

Has run game (RS3) fine until Mondays update after which my game client would not even load due to instant crashes when I got to lobby. Now I can log into game but crashes almost immediately when within game.

Kinda sucks not being able to access this new wilderness content early.

I agree it has been 3 days and counting so we really should have those days of membership frozen until we can actually log in and play.
