Without F2P worlds I think it will be difficult to maintain a large community in OSRS. Also new players to the game entirely are unlikely to click on "Oldschool Runescape", so the main stream of players into the game are existing subscribers on EOC who used to play Runescape at this time OSRS is set in.

Since I first started OSRS until now I have noticed a large reduction in the number of bots so this is positive, we need to keep this up.

Original message details are unavailable.
the amount of players who still play has started dropping off a little.

I and others predicted this would happen, this game for many was nothing more than a sugar coated, rose tinted nostalgia game that they glorified as being so wonderful and perfect in hindsight before realizing that they find it more boring now than they did back then and that their nostalgia had blinded them.

After reliving their nostalgia temporarily many have now been forced to confront the reality of the game; its graphics, mechanics and community and finally had to admit to themselves it was not a utopian paradise but a very badly flawed and inferior version of the game with lots of problems, excessive grinding and unfun mechanics and they are now beginning to quit.

There needs to be a FREE Free to play version of the game like there always was. I personally would have never started playing this game if there wasn't free to play.
That's how it used to work. People started on free to play, got hooked, completed all the free to play content, and then moved onto members. It was a great recipe.

It's kind of depressing to see "we will keep Old School open as long as there is enough interest" and such.

The only way to keep interested people flowing in is by having a true F2P....otherwise it gets to a point (sooner rather than later) where people start to trickle in and flow out.

I love OSRS, and don't want what I just said to be true, but it has to be an obvious that people lose interest with things overtime or simply become too busy. Nobody new to the game would start paying for OSRS when they can start in EOC/RS3/off site games for free.

I just like playing it again. Feels good. Thanks Jagex.

And many people need to stop preseting their ideas as if they are better than everyone else. State your opinion, present the facts and evidence to back up what you say, then humbly wait for criticism and consider all perspectives. That is debate. It's a good life skill to have.
