How about you take our requests seriously and re-poll the community on rares? And this time don't word the question in a way that makes it biased.. The way you worded the question was not fair. You should ask if we want rares to be continued or discontinued. Whichever receives more votes is final. No one is happy and I won't be staying on Old School long if I don't start seeing some legit content updates (like theme words? why is it taking so long?) and a FAIR rares poll.

Also.. more people wanted grimy herbs than not. Grimy herbs were in the game when it started. You REMOVED it without asking us. Then you asked if we want them back and we have to get 75% yes? How is that fair.. Not only is what you did terrible, but you also set poll requirements too high to pass.. It should only be a 2/3 vote.. 3/4 is stupid.

The PLAYERS created the rules for the polls and jagex is simply upholding those rules that were promised to the players.

All questions need to be in the format that you decided (yes/no answers with 75% yes being a pass rate). That is something we promised you and something we will stick to. This does make some questions tricky to ask and when we are presented with a question that requires an action no matter the answer, we have to look very carefully on what the issue is that the community is voting on.

The issue the community was discussing was whether the items should remain discontinued, the issue wasn't making them always available. That is why the poll is that way round.

Mat, I have a suggestion too...

Please start locking all these complaint threads once this last poll is over. All of them are created by just a few players... over and over.. saying the exact same thing and ignoring everything jagex posts. Every feature needs 75% support at least. (Un)tradeable rare items in continued forum have not been polled yet.. so they should not be added.


Tyria, the players are not ignoring jagex' posts.. jagex has been ignoring the players. Even your feedback on the rare poll was not used by jagex.

I am happy with OSRS. If it comes to where we need to pay extra to play, I would like to have the option to have my account transferred from EOC to OSRS, and not play EOC anymore. It would be nice if we could pick which one of the two games we would like to play.

Elf how long will you moan and complain like this? The question was asked, do the players want these items to be discontinued... it was answered and didn't have the support it needed (75%) which means since they are NOT discontinued.. they are CONTINUED.

Know where that 75% requirement came from? The PLAYERS. Jagex is NOT ignoring the players by upholding the 75% requirement that the PLAYERS demanded and (some) are now moaning about.

Difference in you and I regarding our ideas not being used.... it didn't end my world when my idea wasn't used... and it didn't end the game (for me) when the discontinued FAILED TO PASS the supermajority vote required.. and I understand that if items are NOT discontinued (and they are NOT) that the only remaining option is.. no, it actually IS the only remaining option... continued items.

One more really.. REALLY big difference in you and I and our ideas concerning these items...

I don't think this thread is about rares, it's about how Old School has been shaped in the past two months. There is a specific thread to discuss such things guys.

I am really enjoying Old School, I quit Runescape a long time ago until I heard about bringing the old Runescape back, I got excited and back into the game. It's definitely shaping out to be a beautiful decision and everything seems to be going just fine. I have definitely seen countless bots been banned from the game which is great because I can now cut Yews or mine Iron more often without the annoying needs to report the bots standing around. Great job JaGeX!
