Will there ever be a developers blog on future updates plans? I bet a lot of people are wondering about the possibilitys of say.. old pest control, and more controversially: GE and GWD, and ofcourse rare items

I wouldn't worry about it too much, as Mark said, things look rather positive. The KPIs we use to measure things are ones which we don't release publicly so even if we had a cut off figure (which we don't) then it wouldn't mean a great deal to you.

The key message is to make you aware that both you and us need to build this great community to its fullest potential as we can't do it alone.

Thanks for trying Mat. As I have no desire to 'shoot the messenger' I believe it best if I just leave it at:

MMG's message is 'concerning enough' for me to have pause in recommending OSRS to additional friends and family (I'd feel like, in being entirely honest with them, that I had no choice but to point out that the game 'might not' be around as long as we'd hope).

I understand that 'word of mouth' is important to the game.. I understood it back then as well... but I also understand that the statement on the OS 'homepage' says OS is here to stay.. and MMG's words don't really confirm that.

We have some secret stuff planned which I am sure will change your mind in the next few weeks.. *whistles*

We were just talking about that earlier today, so watch this space.

PLEASE don't consider bringing back the GE. That would ruin the game for me as it did in the main runescape. Think of all of the player-to-player trading that would stop. No more bank sales, no more bargains... No GE was one of the reasons why I switched from EoC to OSRS. Plus, I saw Mod MMG promise that the GE wouldn't come back. That thread has since been deleted.

I would rather want the old varrock graphics and have the west bank open up in the back, making room for people to trade back there. 10+ year RS veteran; Oldschool RS player.

^I used to think the same way, but quite frankly, i prefer GE over the autotalking crowd of so called 'players' of world 2 any day of the week.

Sad to say, but if you think theres any player interaction involved there you're insane.

And tbh, less common items are simply impossible to get now.

Few things that could get more people coming to OSRS:
-F2p worlds needs to be trully f2p(no members fee), some people like to check things out before they sub, others tired from members for a bit prefer to go f2p for 1-2month before they resub.
-Bring back all the neat stuff like bank tabs, achievement diarys
-Old and new quests need to be released to OSRS as well (where possible)
-Create monthly bts for OSRS too
-You need to think of getting us more player approved (end) game content.

Is it possible to implement the old mining style or air guitar into the game? I really like the original mining style and i'm sorry to say, but the one that is in current use isn't that great. It would give it more of an old school feeling. Also, Thanks for all the work you guys have done, you all deserve coffee and donuts! :D
