no no no no no. you have the ability to bring something brand new and amazing to OSRS and its being wasted as a plug into to explain how an armour type is made. this saddens me so much :(

"Bring something new."

We don't want a new skill to uproot the game and turn it upside down. Warding is perfect. If you want ridiculously OP shit then go to RS3.
Long live the Wilderness. Long live risk vs reward in PVM. Long live 2006.

Though I only play quite sparingly now, this new blog update has done nothing to convince me that this is a good idea for a skill. I'm not sure why Jagex is pushing so hard on this idea, and why they are spending so much time on developing ideas that have next to no chance at ever hitting 75%.

In the words of Randy Jackson, "It's a no from me, Dawg."

nobodys saying implement a broken skill that will uproot the game. but wasting the biggest piece of new content to the game on a small filler for magical armour crafting is just a plain waste. theres been plenty of brand new content to OSRS that hasent turned it into rs3 like you are expecting anything other than warding would. your comment screams defence mode.

I like the overall idea and the hole the skill fills, but a lot of the content within it feels a bit muddled and excessive for a new skill. Building a simpler foundation first seems the best.

- Too many silks
Compared to the 7-8 main resources (ores and logs) that its comparable couterparts have for resources, the 12 different silks is a lot.

- Too many armour variations
Like Melee and Range there should be a SIMPLE foundational armor tier.

- No armor set effects
Overcomplicates low/mid level gear. Should be limited, if added at all, to high level gear.

- Degrading Armor
I understand the item sink concept in terms of the runescape economy. But if you are looking for a way to turn players, especially beginners, away from magic then disappearing armor and runes is the way to go.

- Skilling Rings
On the fence. I do not like the idea of one skill being to overly involved in other skills.

- Magic Incantations
I like a lot. Simple and understandable tiers.

- More rune pouches?
Beginner/apprentice/teacher/master,etc.
Beginner Pouch lvl10: 250 combat runes - 1k elemental runes
Apprentice Pouch lvl20: 350 combat runes - 2k elemental runes
And so on?

I think most people were initially going to vote No, but once they read the documents and discovered warding is far more than just another skill a more informed yes vote seems to be apparent.

I hope the skill passes and I'm excited to see where OSRS goes. I genuinely can see the effort the mods put into this.

Hard pass and will likely be quitting shortly after a release if it gets to that point. This will ruin the game, again.

The last thing we need is another buyable with a sub-par release of mediocre equipment and wasteful spending. It's only going to allow those with the cash stacks to dominate the high scores and the content is trash and directly towards intermediate players. Can you please put some effort into the skills we already have rather than spreading yourselves even thinner?
