Go ahead. Continue to treat your high leveled players like human garbage. The very founding idea of osrs was that jagrx had ruined the game with updates. Yet here we are.

Neither jagex or the player base has learned a damn thing.

Go ahead kill this game too. I would love to see how this game economy works when high lvl players realize how little jagex values us.

Adding a new skill for solely "filling the gap" to make it easier to get some equipment thats locked behind a quest or requirement. Is so unnecesarry , it will only add more of that equipment in the game , wich will oversuply that item ( yay thousands pieces of robes will be added to the game on a daily basis)

Better add an new in-game shop then so new players can buy their low level mage equipment there.....

UNNECESSARY SKILL , better to make a new skill with NEW CONTENT then.

Excellent idea

I think this is brilliant and is completely relevant to the game. Unsure so far on how complex the skill seems to be though. There seems to be a lot prior to actually 'warding' albeit you'd be able to purchase the items for speed.. Seems a tad complex but regardless, I love the idea. :)

I agree we all do want to see a new skill but warding is not a new skill.

warding seems a waste of time. if u ask me we can already buy or make the amor you are talking about. Nobody is going to find crafting mystic armour to be worth their time. Since ancestral is in the game, any and all armour created from this skill will be dead content upon arrival and is a worthless skill to level up.

we need a new skill that is new!!!! this idea is just plain sht and retarded. I will be voteing no. this skill offers me nothing. it does not offer new content does not offer new equipment that is worth my time. plz tell me what Is the point of this new skill just to fill in gaps that you can already put into crafting and mage already?

you need to scrap this idea it will never pass and you need to think of a new skill that is complete new skill that brings new content new areas for use to explore.
this is very disappointing and I will be quiting game if this content that offers nothing to the game. don't waste your time or ours thank you!

Pros and cons of Warding:

+ New long term content for most of the players
+ Removes gp from the game which affects the inflation in a positive way
+ Fills a gap between Smithing and Crafting
+ Brings new items to the game

- Might be buyable
- Might not be profitable

Remember guys this is still a very raw idea and not pitched to perfection. You can still help the community to make the skill just a skill for you!

I like the idea of the mage armour skill but I feel it would fit better as more of a tailoring skill getting cloth drops from monsters like you do with xerican then using a loom of some sort to turn it into fabric and make magic armours. Having lower level stuff drop cloth for say wizard, zam and monk robes and even could have god specific mystic robes with the cloth gotten from castlewars and other minigames. you could even make bandages from it as another source of healing maybe some sort of heal over time banage or something.
