This is my second post about ideas I have for this content;
(The wield-able torch needs to be wielded for the effects, they can't be replaced by anything and it fits on the main hand. The torch and the fire itself lasts for 10-15 minutes and needs to be gained by an already lit brazier/pit (Which will require atleast 250 of a salt + logs and lasts only for about 60 minutes).
For this content you will need the wield-able torch, the required firemaking level, logs and 250 salts of the fire you want. Once the torch is burned out, the torch and the fire dissapear and another torch has to be lit by teleporting or moving to the brazier.
The torch wielder will need to be tanking or running a lot, as this person won't be able to do much damage as the torch itself has -50 stats, having a torch wielder will be a real team strategy.
- Blue fire torch: Raises all prayer experience received by 105% for all players 7x7, this stacks with the gilded altar and ectofuntus. Also raises the effect of prayers for everyone by a small percentage (half of what you would get with the brazier, so not 15% -> 17%, but 15% -> 16%) and restores prayer by 1 every 20 seconds.
- Red fire torch: doubles the run energy restoration of everyone near you in a 7x7 area and also restores additional 10% special attack energy every 60 seconds to everyone.
- Green fire torch: has a chance to double resources (5%) to all people in a 7x7 radius. Also has an effect on drops; Certain drops (Rare drop table, which is boosted by ring of wealth, super rare drops from clue scrolls like third-age and unique drops like draconic visage or pet drops), have a higher chance to occur (Additional 10% chance, so a 1/5000 chance will be 1/4500), something including drops can also be added to the green brazier.
This would make all three torches viable, would you like faster clears at PvM? Do you want to last longer in PvM? or do you feel lucky and would you like to try the higher chance for a drop at a boss?

I made a correction to my formula on page 2. I accidentally made this post. Although I do think my suggestion on page 2 is a very balanced solution to making the rewards desirable for many more players than currently. In particular, it's important to note that my idea for blue salts make it a very appealing alternative for gilded altars. In fact, if you are Level 99 Prayer using Superior Dragon Bones, the expected (not guaranteed) exp rate per bone is 396%, whereas gilded altars is 350%. Another example, a Level 70 player using Superior Dragon Bones will statistically average about 305% experience, very comparable to gilded altars. And since it's chance-based, on any given hour, you may be quite a bit more than this. Statistically, you should always use the highest-exp bone possible (which currently is Superior Dragon Bones), and at Level 86 Prayer, the *average* exp per hour will top guilded altars, but it is chance-based, so many players would still opt for guilded altars' guaranteed exp. Below 86 Prayer, guilded altars will always give more exp, on average.
Sorry, but I like playing with numbers (I'm a Math PhD), so disregard all of this if you could care less lol

I'm happy with another quest, but we don't need these types of rewards. We've already seen this in RS3 with health-boosting fire and its not part of old school and I don't want to see small enchancements and boosts become a part of oldschool. Firemaking has already been drastically changed with wintertodt and dont keep going down this road. It'll be a no from me
So, according to player feedback, none of these rewards are desirable, and yet the Jagex team decides to continue on with the same but renamed rewards. Nice.
