I love the concept behind the new quest, but I have some concerns about the requirements and the rewards.

Firstly, the requirements. In the proposed developers blog, the quest is deemed an "experienced-level quest", yet two of the skill requirements (agility [60] and mining [72]) are higher than the requirements in the grandmaster quest Dragon Slayer II, released earlier this year in January.

Additionally, the highest skill requirement to complete My Arm's Big Adventure (MABA) is 29 farming. (31 herblore if you include the quest Eadger's Ruse which is a prerequisite to MABA). I believe the skill requirements as they are currently proposed are far too high for this quest considering its previous quest line.

Secondly, I believe some of the rewards need more clarification and/or improvements. My concerns are mainly considering the blue and red fire pits.

Red-- I believe there needs to be more clarification on the distance away from the fire pit you can be. For example, there is a proposed fire pit to be placed on fossil island near the herbiboar hunting area. Does this fire pit cover the entire hunting area, or does it only cover squares relatively near the pit? I believe the answer to this question vastly changes the reaction the community will have to a reward like this.

Blue-- I believe this rewards needs a boost. With gilded altars and the recently updated chaos temple prayer training method, I don't think this fire pit is really worth using in its proposed state. My suggestion: Allow this boost to experience be applied when using the bonecrusher in the areas of the blue fire pit. This would provide an incentive to using the fire pit, as well as a bonus to completing the diaries. With this suggestion, completion of the hard diary would equal full experience per bone, and completion of the elite diary would equal double experience (similar to proposed reward).

Thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts. I'm always excited for new content!

Love that there is a new quest being led by Ash!

The run energy thing is pretty useless, as I'll save more time just using staminas indefinitely than spending time and reducing efficiency mining salt and lighting fires. It also seems really annoying to have to go out of my way every little bit to rekindle the fire.

Extra resources sounds great! I wouldn't want to light it too often though, or it would just get kind of annoying.

I'm not real big on the prayer bonus one. We have plenty of ways to train prayer already, so I don't see this being used a lot. Why not take the opportunity to make the ectofunctus more useful?

The permanent fires are awesome! I love that you guys are trying to expand the firemaking skill, and hope you will do more as well because it's been a very neglected skill for quite a long time.

Have you considered fire arrows?

The reqs are way too high.

72 mining.... 68 agility??
That surpasses the levels needed for Dragon Slayer 2, which is a Grandmaster quest.

66 Firemaking??
That surpasses the level needed for Monkey Madness 2, ANOTHER Grandmaster quest.

How about shaving off 15 levels from each req, and then we can talk.

How about you use this opportunity to allow players to create and use Fire arrows (i.e. Rune fire arrows from the Underground Pass quest) more effectively, and provide them a useful benefit over regular arrows. Perhaps the Fire arrows could cause an additional 1-5 immediate damage on any opponent, depending on the user's Firemaking level, and be created through new means (instead of using a Damp cloth and Tinderbox on them) unlocked through this new Troll series quest - likely through a method that trains the Firemaking and/or Fletching skills.

Looking forward to the quest but as stated by others the rewards for the requirements seem pretty bad. I thought getting 60 mining for Lunars was grind but getting 72 for a reward that's way less useful than a complete spellbook seems a kick in the teeth.
