My opinion
I am a fan of OS runescape even though I don't play too much anymore.
A few things that could improve the experience.
1. Rest function and musicians like EOC to refill stamina faster.
2. An area what lists current highs and lows for items, not the G.E just a in-game price checker.
3. Release some new items, items that where released in 2008 but no further.
4. New quests that won't effect gameplay, but new quests will give those who are already maxed out something to do.
5. This is a Maybe . New mini-games.

These would all have to go to a public vote, of course.

I like your way of thinking, I would prefer some things like these, but also would like to keep the game as basic as it has always been, although I preferred 2005 scape, you have some good ideas. ^_^

I am the first to admit that I didn't vote for OSRS and I don't play OSRS, though I have logged on to take a peek, why anyone would go back to OSRS with such great content in EOC I will never understand.

I would just say that by all means update the OSRS game but only if the developers have time after working on EOC not at the expense of EOC, after all is said and done, RuneScape has moved on and it is only the vocal minority who want OSRS just like the minority who play Classic. Most of us are happy with all the new content.

I left the main game for one year and came back to find it so flooded with content that it felt cluttered and out of control. Like there was no rhyme or reason for anything being put into the game. The lore of the game felt shattered. I don't want Old School to have that happen. Careful addition of content with community input is what I believe should happen no matter what it is. New or old.

New content just because the devs are bored would be a huge mistake. Want something new? Do short term community events that won't make a major impact on the game.

There are things in the main game I'd love to see added because I feel that enhance the game. I feel that type of consideration should be the focus.

(For example achievement diaries, sans cash reward, were a cool addition because it allowed the exploration of the game without cheapening skills. Not the EOC version of achievement diaries.. the old school versions.)

New content for PvMers, gwd and corp. pvp Worlds and the ep system.

small updates with hp/prayer symbol at the map.

I wouldnt mind newer Graphics either. 07 looks boring imo.
its a lot I wanna change. Before turmoil/overload came. summoning is okey without herb/prayer update cuz its hard enough anyway.

i like the old rs how it is now but it wouldn't hurt to add a few new quest here and there. i mean come on, people have cried and whined about bringing old rs back but what ever happens happen just as long you don't bring back summoning. i like my old interface and skills
