I think the problem is the matter of where the line is going to be drawn. We are happy to have our old game back, but since we've all become somewhat accustomed to the finer little updates we've received in the past couple of years, playing in Old School can feel really tedious sometimes. Just doing a small little task can seem to take forever.

But I feel me must all remind ourselves that this is what we asked for. We wanted our old game back. Although it's still hard to adjust to, I feel it's important that we all keep playing to fully immerse ourselves into the new (old) style. If we open the flood gate to new updates to make the gameplay "easier", we will find that we will have nonstop updates and fixes to the game. Once you give the players a taste of power to continuously change the game, they'll start looking for other things that will make the game easier. Finally we will find that we have come somewhat close to a later version/year of the game, which is not what the whole point of bringing it back was.

Do I think it should remain a solid game with no updates at all? Of course not. After a year, it will without a doubt die out for the monotony. Only updates that are truly needed should even be considered. Not updates that will make things easier. Not updates that will make you have to do less work. At the end of the day, we need updates that will give people more content, and more things to do and explore. I can only imagine how boring it must be being a high leveled player after some time.

I think we should have new content every once in a while, I mean personally - I love old school runescape's game mechanics much better than EOC.

in order to keep the game fresh, and players interested I think it would be great for the game to have some updates, like

-gwd
-harder agility courses
-updated diary book

anything that would prove to be nothing more than useful in the game for us as players would be great updates. which isn't really asking for much

I believe smith-all, cook-all, fletch-all, mix-all (potions) and possibly a burn-all (or bonfire type update) options should be added to the game.

Smithing is incredibly tedious with the current system. The cooking, fletching, herblore and firemaking options would be nice but not entirely necessary.

It makes me happy to see threads like these being made. Thank you Jagex.

if you guys want to see this game grow it must have updates! It is necessary!! If the game doesn't have any fresh blood coming in, and new contents come in, players will get bored eventually and quit. Now how we make it so new players come in, and players don't get bored!? NEW UPDATES! Don't be afraid of change, changes are good some time and it must be made in order for this game to success.

Things that should be added: God Wars for those PvM lovers (but in a way so it doesnt ruin PvP) -> the item drops not as freaking rare so it doesn't cost so damn much, and some kind of high def, pray, attack requirements on item wielding so it doesn't rune pking for pures.

An appealing full screen, with nice UI + Graphics. though jagex confirmed it wouldn't happen it is necessary. Looks appeal to new user, attracts them to open up runescape and try it. just like the saying don't judge a book by it's cover even though the majority do, reason we must make the cover looks really nice. and I love the current UI on EoC, with money section, xp tp, prayer tab, hp tab, helps me keep track of stuff.

Updated Bank & Grand Exchange: My hand starts to hurt after a while typing so rapidly to sell some item when i can simply put them up at grandexchange, but without any buy limits. and the bank they have in EoC is very nice.
